Moody23227, Mrschris0214 & Keith_Cheggers - Sounds like you are all about a month ahead of me with the process. Good luck! I hope everything goes smoothly. Sending you tons of sticky baby dust.
I am waiting for my doctor's office to call me so I can schedule my first U/S. Keeping my fingers crossed that I have no cysts that would delay starting the IVF cycle.
Hi Ladies,
I am starting IVF this month if all goes well with the test results. I had bw done Friday, DH is going in this Wednesday to drop of his sample. I got all meds ready to go just waiting on AF to start mid January. I've done 4 unsuccessful IUI, 4 m/c and 2 live births--natural. I have an 18 yr old son from a previous relationship. DH and I have a beautiful 15 month old girl. We are doing IVF so that we do not have any what ifs floating around. We know that due to my age most of my eggs are old, but we are hopeful to get a few good ones which result in a healty pregnancy.
Good Luck to all of you, I hope to read about a bunch of BFPs soon.
I have found out alot about my issues over the years but untill now was to overweight to have IVF .I have an appointment at my local hospital in april for the 1 chance that they offer .Does anyone know if it ok to move areas and recieve the other 2 chances that other areas offer ?
I had an ectopic pregnancy back in 2004 they took out my right tube ,I didnt know my other tube was damaged untill afew years ago , I recently went to a private clinic in hope to donate eggs in return for IVF, After my internal scan I was told my right ovary is hidden behind my uterus and it is to dangerous to retrieve eggs from incase it ruptured my womb, bowel or bladder ! My other ovary is in the right place but only 3 stem cells could be seen , which means they can only ever retrieve 3 eggs. This ofcourse is better the 1 but I am unable to do egg donation in return for IVF. I have been told my local nhs is an 18 month wait .I really hope when i go for the april appointment they will have better news for me I am 35 next month I dont feel I have time on my side With all my problems I dont feel I have much hope .Has anyone else ever moved areas for more chances? Has anyone out there been or is going through the same as me? does anyone know if I still have a good chance ? help !!
I think we're the only two on this thread that are in the uk. I live in surrey county and had been seeing a doctor for fertility for 2 1/2 years when they let me know funding had stopped for IVF! We're about a mile from a different county but not allowed to go there unless we move. We were sick of being messed about by the NHS and finally were able to fund it ourselves. We've done a lot of research and been doing this for a long time, so if you have any questions let me know.
Im in London , near Surrey , thanks for your support , I will let you know if I find out any more x
Yes...I think I know where London is... ;) keep me updated!
