Hi Wendy! I'm about a week ahead of you, CD 7 today. I tried clomid for the first time last month, but decided against it this month, since it totally dried me up (no fertile cervical mucus), so I'm just doing a "natural" cycle :-)

Sorry about AF...It's always such a disappointment when she show up!!! I've been at it for a long time. Almost three years now. I've had two miscarriages since then, but still no baby. Hoping it will happen soon!

Maybe this will be both our month!!!

Yes and no :-) I did actually see an RE last year and did four unmedicated IUIs. Didn;t get pregnant and stopped going after our insurance changed and I no longer had coverage for fertility-related costs. Then got pregnant on my own a few months later, which ended in a second miscarriage in September of last year. I just went back to see her last week to see if I can have some more tests done, but she said no need and that she would suggest injectables and IUI or IVF at this point. So, my DH and I decided to give it a few more months before making that decision, since we have gotten pregnant on our own twice. Plus, even if I do spend thousands of dollars out of pocket for an IVF, there's only about 50% chance it will work...and what if I have another miscarriage? I have an appointement with my regular obgyn on the 11th, so I'm going to ask him for a second opinion. I would feel more comfortable doing injectibles and IUI or IVF if I had some more tests done first. Sooooo, until then we'll just keep trying the natural way :-)

How about you? Are you seeing a specialist?

hi ladies. I'm a little ahead of you I'm on cd13 and just waiting for a positive OPK to get my IUI scheduled. I have been on 5 cycles of clomid and decided to take this month off and do it without any meds. I think you're only supposed to be on clomid for about 6 cycles? Anyways, if this "natural" IUI doesn't work I'm also headed to the injectibles.

I have not seen an RE yet.  My ins. does not cover any costs of infertility.  Not even the blood work.  I had made an appt. with one but cancelled it b/c of the $$$.  I am getting frustrated b/c my obgyn has not done any tests other than the progesterone.  I am like you, and feel like without knowing what is wrong i am just wasting my $.  Between ov kits, preg test, clomid, and 21cd progesterone ($200 each month).  My dr won't really tell me what her plan is for the coming months.  It is just a month to month decision and that drives me crazy.  As an added bonus my sister (who just got married and was not ttc) just told me she is pregnant.  Threee of my close friends are also preggo.  I truely am happy for them, but it reminds me of what i want so bad and cant get.

Hi everyone! I'm CD 9 today, and will probably start using OPKs today or tomorrow. I usually get a positive on CD 12 or 13. So, here we go again :-)

Wendy: Looks like we're in the same boat...I don't have any coverage either, not even for diagnostic test to find out if there's something wrong! I think it's totally insane that insurance won't cover that. But it is what it is, I guess. I can also totally relate to what you're saying about your sister being pregnant. Since my first miscarriage, it seems like everyone around me is getting pregnant...with no complications (including my sister and best friend). I too am happy for them, and my little nephew, who's now 1, is the cutest little boy ever! But I have to admit, I'm a little bit jealous too. I wish I could experience what they're experiencing. Hopefully we will soon!!!!

nevaeh: Did you get a positive OPK yet? When do you usually ovulate?

SSBD to everyone!

hi i am also taking clomid cd 3-7. I took my second one today. So where are you now on the clomid , or did you take your last dose already?  What kind of opk are you using? I see that you missed last month's o, so maybe you should try using a diffrent brand of  opk ,unless that one has workedd for you in the past. But what do i know, i'm new to this and i've never gotten a + opk. But i know that's about to change hopefully.I can't wait to see that smiley face on my opk (i'm gonna do flips lol). Well good luck

Hi.  This is my first monthy on Clomid.  I am taking 50mg days 2-6.  Started taking on 29feb...so am on to CD12 today.  I had an ultrasound yesterday and they said that I had three big follicles and 1 small one.  They actually advised me not to TTC, to avoid multiple births.  I too have been trying to conceive for about 13 months now, and if there are 3 big follicles there, I am not going to let them go to waste in the chance that ONE may be fertilised.  Anyone else at the ovulation stage of their cycle and had a scan???
I had a laproscopy in January and everything checked out ok, no trying the Clomid.  Would be keen to hear about other people and their scan......good luck to all..

Hello all! well i'm a little behind most of you, i'm on cd 3 (started my first cycle of femara today!!!) We will hopefully be doing IUI (my dh first SA was not very good -morphology of 2% normal, and low motility) So we are re-doing that in a few days, and hopefully we'll get better results and we'll be able to go thru with the IUI, otherwise we'll be looking at IVF i guess!   Good luck to all of you and i'll be watching for updates!!! HOpefully we can get a lof of BFP's this month!!! :)

Hi Wendy813!  Would it be OK if I joined?  I noticed your cd1 was March 1st, mine was March 2nd.  I finished up my Femara over the weekend (it's my 3rd cycle of that), so now we're just waiting to O.  I go for an ultrasound on Friday, so we'll see!  I completely understand your frustration.  We're approaching 2 yrs of TTC, so it's starting to feel like we've lost so much time!  Good luck with the Clomid.  I think they usually let you go up to 6 cycles, but I think having the hsg and lap is a very good idea.  I had an hsg about a year ago and it wasn't too bad.  Just some pinching and cramping, but it was worth it to get the peace of mind of knowing I was OK.  I don't go to an RE either (none in my area) and my OBGYN is good, but not too proactive, so it's frustrating too.

Hello everyone!!  Today is cd-13 for me.  No surge yet but maybe today.  I am leaving for Vegas next week.  Maybe this will take my mind off the tww.  I have been reading a book called The Infertility Diet.  It is awsome.  It says that yams work like clomid and also wheat germ.  I have been trying it.  I hope it works.  Also i read a study about organic foods helping with infertility.  Everyone left me know what cd your own so we can support each other.  Anyone had opk yet?

Hi.  I was just thinking that we needed to revive this thread!  I am cd12 today and got my positive OPK on cd13 last month, so I'm hoping to see it soon.  I actually go for an ultrasound first thing tomorrow morning and it's my first one since starting the Femara.  I'm really praying that I have some nice big follies!    I've heard of that Fertility Diet book and it always seemed interesting to me, so I may have to buy one.  It really makes you wonder because it seems like a lot of people have trouble getting pregnant these days.  It has to be either something that's added to the food we eat or the chemicals used in our products, like shampoos, lotions, etc.  So, does anyone else have any updates?  Good luck to you all!!

i agree with you, i think we have too many chemicals these days added to everything to make like easier.  The truth is, there are side effects.  I am trying to eat healthy lately.  and see what it does.  Hope it will give me BFP
