Ask their rate of pregnancy and their rate of successfully taking home a baby. Ask if they transfer more than one embryo, and if so, how many, and ask how many get frozen all together if they have any left over to freeze. Ask what they recommend if the woman gets pregnant with triplets (clinics often will recommend that one be removed). Find out these things and see how you feel about the answers.
Some help for IVF Appoitment:
What will the retrieval process be like?
How many embryos should you transfer?
Will your eggs fertilize and divide?
Should you freeze your leftover embryos?
What is ICSI?
What is assisted hatching?
..And their rate of pregnancy..Very important!
xoxo:)
I know that I just wanted the RE to explain the process to me. What meds will I be taking? Timeframe? 3 day or 5 day transfer? Do they recommend ICSI or assisted hatching? How many embryos will they transfer? Success rate? Cost? I wish you the best of luck!
I would ask about your ivf protocol. That way you know what to expect.
Thank you for your advice! Good luck to you
