On and off cramping 9 days past embryo transfer?

Hello!  I'm new here and in my IVF tww!  I'm currently my own worst enemy and I'm driving myself nuts!!  I'm sure soooo many of you can relate!  I wanted to know if any other ladies had mild to moderate cramping this late in their wait and still ended up with a BFP?  My hubby and I have been trying to conceive for 3 1/2 years.  I'm 35 and hubby had a mildly low count.  This is our first IVF after countless (and I mean countless!) failed IUI's.  I had 2 beautiful day 5 blasts transfered on 8/3 and I'm not due for my pregnancy bloodwork until 8/17!!  Ugggh.  So in the meantime I'm driving myself crazy.  I'm on Estradiol 2mg and Prometrium 100mg and I know that the Prometrium can give off pregnancy like symptoms. Can anyone give any words of encouragement?  I was convinced yesterday that it was all over and AF was coming...this morning I convinced myself I was okay and prego.  See why I'm losing it!?!?  Hahaha!  In the 3 1/2 years we've been trying to conceive, I NEVER once got a BFP.  So I'm terrified to take a HPT before my beta.
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Ali - I'm so sorry to hear this - I know how hard it is to stay positive after going through a fresh cycle but we'll all pray that you get your BFP.  Remember, it only takes one to implant & wham!  You're pregnant so I'll sprinkle some cyber SSBD for next cycle - jen

Well, I went for my beta yesterday and...not good.  :(  My beta was at 14, so yes, theoretically I'm pregnant (or was) but my level is so extremely low they told me it wasn't good.  I took a HPT yesterday, just to see that beautiful positive test for once.  It was a very faint line, but it was there.  I took another one this morning and the line is gone.  I still have to go tomorrow for another beta though.  So, on to FET I guess.  We also found out yesterday we only had one blast make it to freeze.  Ugggh...it's so hard to remain positive and optimistic at this point.  Thank you all for the positive words and help you've given me up to this point though...it means sooooooo much!

Hi, Im new to this forum...came across this and wanted to share just to see if it helps. Her is my story. I have 4 older children from my first marriage(all conceived naturally then tubes tied..reversal didnt work so second marriage we decided on IVF... 21f(married expecting 1st..omg im gonna be a grammy...wait im not done having my own lol), 18m(killed aug 21 2008..4 weeks after his 18th by another driver that was going at a high rate of speed at 5:30am. 17f(twins), 21 month old f emale by IVF#2 born oct 2007 (second cycle), IVF#3 chemical preg., IVF#4 BFN and today IVF#5 8/13 my first beta 226 IVF nurse says might be twins. Second beta on sat. No we didnt start more cyles just because our son was killed. We had decided this as a family before his death and decided what a wonderful way to celebrate his life then to go ahead with what we had decided as a family. and it worked!! woot..Thank you god!...no as far as the crampy I had that with my IVF daughter and some light spotting and she was perfect. I did the same with this pregnancy IVF #5 and my levels are great the IVF doc says..mild cramping is normal. You will not start as long as you are taking progesterone or anything containing progesterone. IVF daughter we testing the night before the first beta and we had a faint positive. I tested 4 days before beta test this time ivf#5 because hubby was going to back to afghanistan before beta and we wante dto know SOMETHING lol...and it was positive...thats another reason why they think more then one because HPT was was early ..:))...we will see how things go...Best wishes and baby dust to all!!!

Ladies, thank you so much for your responses!  I'm trying to take this one day at a time and just leave it with God.  The last thing I want to do is stress myself out (more than I already have), but at least each passing day I'm one day closer to my beta!  Yay!  Hubby and I agreed no HPT...we'll wait for the doctor's visit to find out for sure.  My cramping I had yesterday is gone now (go figure), but today's my bb's are sore again.  These crazy "symptoms" are hit and miss from one day to the next!!
Oh, is it true that if I'm not pregnant that the Prometrium will keep me from starting my cycle?  My natual cycles were always 28-30 days so I was originally hanging on to the idea that I had not started yet or even spotted (which I normally do)...and then I read about the Prometrium and that it could keep AF from coming until I stop taking it.  Just thought I would ask if anyone has experienced this.
All in all I'm feeling much better, less stressed and more positive...and I have all of you to thank for it!!!!  XOXOXOXOXO

****SSBD****to all! And congratulations to all the new mommies!!!!  May we all be blessed with little ones soon!

Hang in there. The 2WW does strange things. All you need to do is be positive. I've just completed IVF, With alot of cramps let me add but it was well worth it got a BFP. I now sit wth bronchitis, only because I left the coughing for so long cause I was afriad to take anything now it is bronchtis and I am on antibiotics. argggggg it never ends. Look after yourself during this process. Rest out as much as you can and please what ever you do dont stress. Baby dust to all.

Hi

Liz, Ali, Gkendall -  I am on my 5dpt3dt.  We transferred 4 embies on Saturday.  My Beta is on 8/19.  This is my second round, my first round I got my AF on 9dpt and I was devastated.  This time I have had no cramping so far but I don't know if it was becuaes I was on bedrest or what but my left leg hurts like crazy which is my usual symptom for AF.  really worried.  I am much more patient and relaxed this time.  Atleast the people around me say so.  At this time there is nothing we can do other than pray, it's not in our hands any more.  So good luck to all

I am new to this message board.  This is my first IVF, 2 failed IUIs I am 4dp3dt and am really nervous.  I don't think I should be feeling any symptoms yet...right?  It's been a long journey for me.  I have the beta test done on Aug 21st.  My breast are only slightly tender and my tummy feels like a balloon, I think both are from the progesterone.  Can anyone share their symptoms or thoughts, I'm trying not to be anxious....TSeek God first and He will give you the desires of your heart.  This have sought Him and this is my desire so I pray my dh and I are blessed with a child

AliCav - bless your heart - I've been there as far as being in that tww and saying one day I'm pregnant and then the next telling my dh I wasn't and to be prepared for a BFN.

Your progress sounds really good - the cramping could mean anything.  As you said, Prometrium can mimic pregnancy symptoms - drats.  But you did a five day transfer, you're young & you had great blasts so it sounds like you're on the right track.

Focus on seeing a BFP on a hpt or hearing it from a nurse - just keep visualizing - perhaps that might help you stay sane.  I drove my poor husband bonkers during our 10 day wait.  Poor man - I can't believe he's still married to me! - jen

We should keep each other company on the site !!. I had my transfer on Friday and my bloodtest is on the 18th. I switch between being hopeful and being weary- I had 3 6 cell embies transferred. So chances could be better but I'm trying to keep positive

Hi ali,

I just finished my second IVF cycle and am now 5 weeks pregnant. I am actually still getting some mild cramping and have had cramping since transfer. My RE says it is totally normal and I believe him I ahve had 2 great betas so I know there is nothing wrong. I know its scary. Just try to rest with your feet up as much as possible. Sometimes a lot of activity can cause you to cramp. Try to stay positive!! I hope my answer helps! Good luck on the 17th!! Thats my first u/s so it will be a good day for both of us!! SSBD!!!
