Also remember that egg retrieval is quite a traumatic experience for your ovaries, and they may be "reacting" to it by causing some discomfort. My ovaries showed to still be swollen 12 weeks after my retrieval! Best of luck on your beta, hope this is the one for you :)
thanks for the response. I was also thinking it could be in my head. I am on both progesterone and estrogen supplements to make sure I guess everything is ok.
If you are on progesterone, you will get twinges and cramps.
I've learned that I can't really count on what my body is doing to tell whether or not I'm pregnant, especially early in the two week wait--if I'm on any kind of medication. The two times I was pregnant this year I was absolutely SURE I wasn't pregnant (and almost had a glass of wine I was so sure) b/c I was cramping and felt like I was having PMS symptoms. But I was actually pregnant.
And I don't think you would have actual PMS symptoms before the embryo transfer.
So, my advice is to try to focus on other things (I know, it seems impossible) and try to ignore any cramps or twinges.
Good luck. I know the wait is truly awful...
