POAS before Beta after IVF?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if any of you IVF'rs have done HPT before your official beta (b/w). If so, how early have you done it and what was the outcome? My retrieval was on 5/12 and I had a 5 day transfer (5/17). My RE said to come in on the 27th (tomorrow) for beta. Then last week, the nurse said I should be coming in on 5/19 (2 days later) for my beta - which would make it 12 days past transfer; she said 10dpt is too early to test. Today I POAS'd and it was BFN. :(  Has anyone gotten a BFN on HPT and then a positive beta within a day or so afterwards? Just looking for a little hope...

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I just really needed to hear a few success stories and welcome as many as possible!

I keep trying to remind myself that last time I was pg I didn't get a BFN til almost the 7th week. Like all of you, I just really want this to happen :)

I got a BFP with my BETA after IVF, then went home and POAS ( just wanted to see that BFP for a change) and it was BFN. I got my BFP w/ HPT a week later. So, yes it is possible.

Thank you all for your support and warm wishes! It's nice to hear that others have gotten good surprises. I am hoping for the same sort of surprise tomorrow!

I had BFN on my first IVF and then the beta was positive .
Unfortunately it was ectopic.

I had BFN HPTs before and on the day of my blood test... My HCG was + and DD is now 22 months old...

I've never done ivf before, just doing iui's now, but i hope you get a suprise BFP tomorrow with your beta!!! Don't lose hope, there's still a chance! Good luck and let us know your results tomorrow! :)

Thanks for the response. I am now on day 10 past transfer and there was no faint line so i'm thinking its not good. I go for beta tomorrow so we'll see for sure then.

I got a BFN 5 days after blast transfer. BFP on day 7 , it was a faint line though. Went for beta test next day and HCG was 54. Hope this helps.
