The standard answer is 6-12 days after the egg is fertilized,  it implants.   But no,  it doesn't take a month or more.

I’m stressed,  overthinking that IF a egg was fertilised from a drunken one night stand in July - July 11th to be exact & it didn’t implant itself until the September id be pregnant by him & not my current partner. I was sleeping with my current partner throughout September didn’t come on my period, got a positive on a test then went for a early scan on the 13th October & they told me I was just under 5 weeks, only gestation sac & yolk sac visible. I was asked to come back in 10 days I’m thinking to check for a feral pole? Would this of meant a embryo wasn’t even developed yet? I’m currently 22 weeks & due June 8th but I can’t seem to get this whole delayed egg implantation idea & worry out my head. My cycles are longer than 28 days & my partner is 26, I’m 21 our first pregnancy together he’s never had anyone pregnant before me which also makes me doubtful as he’s been sexually active a long time. I’m just scared as it’s my first pregnancy expecting twins. Thanks in advance for any reply
