JUST HAD LAST DR APPT..RESULTS..

The Dr told me that now my left tube has a slow leak which means its not all the way open nor all the way closed....she said that now my uterus is healthy again and I have healthy ovaries.....she told me that more than likely I would need IVF .....SAD.............I DONT BELIEVE THAT...MY GOD HEALS AND REPAIRS.....I just wanted to let everyone know my end results....I asked about any studies available and she said none right now due to the economy....so now I wait on God and get ready for my next move............WHY DOES IVF COST SO MUCH.........ITS MORE THAN PLASTIC SURGERY....(AND SOME INSURANCE PAY FOR PLASTIC SURGERY)........HOW  DEVASTATING!!!!!!  PLEASE SEND PRAYERS, WISHES, BABY DUST, AND GOOD LUCK MY WAY........BECAUSE WHO DO YOU KNOW HAVE 10,000 TO 12,000 JUST LAYING ON THE COFFEE TABLE...ALL I WANT IS A BABY ........(C   R    Y    I   N    G).................

Hi! I think the procedure tea_berries is talking about is a HSG ... along with prayer, medical attention is necessary to find out what's going on... I got an HSG and it revealed a blocked tube... a blocked tube will not prevent you from getting pregnant if the other tube is fine, it will simply take longer (probably). If your tube is leaking fluid, now that can be a problem since this fluid can have an ill effect on an embryo trying to implant itself. This is also true in the case of IVF.

IVF is not the solution to everything because I have 1 blocked tube and did get IVF which failed. It cost me almost 10 000$ and no baby! 6 months later, I got pregnant the ol'fashion way with my 1 good tube...

good luck!!

hi there! I know two women who were told that one of their fallopian tubes are somewhat blocked.  I am not sure if this is a different case but they had to perform something to push the blockage and now one of them had a baby boy with insemination only.  The other one got pregnant even though she was told that she will never have children unless she goes for IVF.  She obviously can't afford it so she forgot about the whole thing.  She got pregnant six months after but sad to say she had an M/C due to her slipping while going down stairs from their apartment.

YOu might have a different case but have you tried getting a second opinion? It might help since doctors have different views or level of experience.  I had to move to a different doctor before I got pregnant.  they told me I am normal yet if I wnt get prego in six months I would have to undergo insemination because clomid just wont work for me.  I moved to a different doctor and she told me to try again for three months and then rest from ttc after.  the last pill i took was the charm.. now seven months on saturday...

I hope everything works well for you and will soon have a bundle of joy for yourself.  Prayers and hugs to you.

I have no personal experience with IVF, but I remember reading on one of the forums someone posted that although their insurance claimed to not pay for IVF...They actually did cover a lot of the cost associated with it and her portion was GREATLY reduced. So, don't give up and definately look into it. Do you only have that one half open / half closed tube? Is that why they say you will need IVF?
