Reg. Physical Exam

Hi,

I don't know where to ask this ques..if anybody tell it would be helpful for me.
I have a question reg. my annual physical exam..is there any difference if it done by ob/gyn or primary care dr.?
can it be twice a year?

I go for physical once a year to my ob/gyn so, was wondering do I need to go again to my primary care dr. for this?

Usually they are done yearly/annually. If there is a problem, they may want to repeat it. Some primary Dr's do the exam while others do not. It shouldn't matter who performs the exam, different Dr's are licensed to do different things. I never had a seperate OB when I was younger cause my regualr family Dr (an MD) did everything from sick check ups to delivering babies. When I got older, he passed away and now I have different family dr that doesn't do this all so I see an ob/gyn.
