So I got the b/w back from the dr and it was neg. I was never pregnant. I feel so stupid for announcing my BFP.

I am sorry this happened to you but yes, I would also find out why you tested positive. Who told you, you were?? The DR?  Do you know what the beta was?

Girl, do not feel in anyway, shape or form feel stupid.  You thought you were BFP, and you were excited/scared.  You had a test that showed Pos, why would you think different?  We are all on a emotional rollercoaster here... we all 100% understand! : )  Keep us updated on what you find out ok?

Hi there...I'm new on the forum.  As far as I knew, I thought there was no such thing as a false positive (unless it is from meds). And no need to feel stupid.  Its so exciting to see that BFP!!!!  I wish you the best of luck!

Thank you everyone. I had 3 dollar store tests and 2 FRER all had faint lines. Well the last FRER I took the line wasnt so faint. I emailed it to a couple frinds and they could see the line. And it showed up within 2 mins so I know they werent evap lines. I went to my dr for a beta and she said it was neg. I kinda feel better knowing I was not pg at all. Then to have lost another baby.

ttc1010 - There really isnt such a thing. No one can tell me why I was getting pos tests but my blood test was neg.

So on to a new cycle. Today is cd3 any cycle buddies out there?

I sincerely wish you luck!  My husband and I have been ttc for around 7 1/2 yrs.  It's a long hard journey, and God knows you need people to lean on during this time.  A lot of friends do not understand the struggles we go through.  That's why this place is so wonderful.  I don't know what I would do without it.

Btw, have you looked into iui? That maybe be an option since of your hubbies low sperm count

Yes I have looked into IUI. Actually I want to do it. But my dr wont help us until have tried for 6 or more months post surgery. My dh had surgery to remove a blockage in Oct. And she stared counting cycles in Jan. After has had recovered. My dr and his both think he count will increase with time. We have another SA next month. If this cycle doesnt give me my BFP then as soon as my next cycle start we go for his SA. And if his count hasnt improved from last time I will be ready for IUI.

You have been TTC for 7 1/2 years? Thats a long time. Have you tried IUI or IVF or anything?

Yeah, It's been a long road!  We've tried clomid, iui, and now ivf...actually, FET.   my hubby had a blockage removed also, and has testosterone issue along with count/swimming issues.  we have taken time off in -between my clomid/iui.  I just had to walk away for a while. My first RE upset me w/the whole hubby thing (they didn't check for male issues), and I quit for a couple of years.  Found a New RE 2 hrs from our house.... like them much better... they listen to what I want to do which I like.  I told them exactly what I wanted, and they didn't try and steer me in another direction, which I was very, very happy about.  We actually conceived our first FET, but I miscarried do due build up in my uterus.  Our Last FET came back a BFN, I kinda thought it might, because the embies didn't thaw very well.  No one has control over that I guess, only God.  So, now on try 3rd try..... Hopefully it's a success!!!!  we have 11 embroys frozen left for us to try with.

Wow that does sound like a long hard road. Im sorry you have to go through all this. But the day you hold your little bundle of joy it will all be so worth it. I will be praying for FET #3 to be the lucky one for you. GL. I have been debating on finding a new dr. But everyone I talk to seems to agree with my dr. Its just going to take some time.

Thank you for the kind words!  They are much appreciated : )  I pray about 100x's a day that God will bless me with my own bundle of joy!  I think he'd give me one just so he doesn't have to hear me bug him so much! ha ha!
You know, it doesn't hurt to get a 2nd opinion, especially if you have the option of going somewhere close.  I mean, if your comfortable with your Doc that's fine too. But the next 4 months will FLY buy too... so just keep trying and having fun with it : )     It sounds like you have a wonderful hubby, like mine!  How many men would go through what ours has??  Just for the chance of having a baby : )  I think we are both very very luck!  (although, we ended up using ICSI anyway, but who woulda known?)

Isnt it great having such a wonderful man in your life. If it wanst for him I dont know how I wouldve made it through so much. And he is so great, every little thing I ask he does. He is eating healthy, taking vitamins and bding when I say and not when I say no. But he says "whatever it takes." If he wasnt so great I wouldnt have a chance.

I think Im going to stick with my dr and give it some time. If his count hasnt improved next SA I will ask again about IUI.

It is truley a blessing.  I don't know what I would do without him.   Everytime we get "bad news" he lets me cry, brushes me off, and says... it'll work next time : )  After my miscarriage, he said "ok, we're going to be sad today, but tomorrow, we are going to be happy for getting to try again."  I don't think he knows how much I rely on him to keep me sane.     Well, him and the girls on here!  ha ha!!!!!!!    I don't share a lot with my friends/family so this is a great outlet for me : )

My AF started saturday, my plan is to either go this month for a FET on the 23rd, or postpone until April.  I can't decide.  I had posted on another thread that the only thing my hubby and I have said in our 71/2 yr journey is we didn't want a December baby.  So, I thought, What a better guarentee of our FET working then to do it in March for a December baby! ha ha!  Out of curiosity, what kind of blockage did you DH have and did they operate?

They never could find a for sure reason for the blockage. But they think it was from an infection going undetected and untreated. It caused enough scar tissue to create a blockage. Yes he had surgery on Oct 29th. 3 weeks after surgery he had swimmers present in his sample but they didnt count them. 3 months post surgery his SA showed 8.6 million. So now we are supposed to get another SA in April to make sure his count is going up. I really hope we dont need another SA and that cycle will be the one.

Why not December? I dont care when my baby is born. I just want a baby. I dont think I want another born in May. My birthday is may 7th and my DD is May 8th. We are constintly butting heads. But if thats what God decides for me then so be it.

We just didn't want a Christmas baby.... But like I just told my friend, even if we did wait till April to try again, I may get pregnant with twins, and then I'd wouldn't be able to go full term, and have it in Dec anyway!  ha ha!
My DH's count was around 28million which I guess is really low.... it only takes 1, but for some reason none of those 28 million could find there way, they weren't very "healthy either".  We did 1 iui, which led to my whole discust with first RE, and led me to our new one.
We actually did ICSI with our IVF too, to make sure we got lots of fertilized eggs.  I just pray that this next time works!!!!  I am starting to feel better about it day by day.

Yep, I'm Like you... the baby can come on Christmas day now for all I care!  As long as I get one... or two : )

I received this email yesterday and thought of you : )  Thought I'd share... Couldn't hurt, Might Help..... I'm sure you have probably read 1,000 things on this but thought I'd share anyway.

Timing is everything. Sperm can live for two to three days, but the egg is around for only 12 to 24 hours. To increase the likelihood of conception, it's important to have intercourse more than once around the time of ovulation. It is a good idea to have sex one to two days before ovulation and again on the day you ovulate. That way, there's more likely to be a healthy supply of sperm waiting in the fallopian tube when an egg is released.

Of course, exactly when a woman ovulates isn't altogether clear. It all depends on the length of your menstrual cycle. A woman typically ovulates about 14 days before her next period — not mid-cycle, as is commonly held. If you have a 28-day cycle, which is the average, then you would ovulate halfway through your cycle. But if you have a 35-day cycle, you would ovulate around day 21, not day 17.
