Should I be worried?

For starter, I have missed 5 cycles.
I was on birth control pills for 7 years. My husband and I want to start a family, so I stopped taking them in October 2012. My cycles were regular on the pill, and were fairly regular before I started. I have not had any bleeding for 5 months, and all of the pregnancy tests have been negative. I was told that it could take a few months for my cycles to return after stopping the pill.
A bit about me and my history:
I am a college student, graduating in the fall. I am overweight, but am in an exercise program (not too hardcore). I have a healthy diet, and a happy life with minimal stress. I have always had weight issues, even as a child. My mother wanted to get my thyroid checked, but they told her to wait until I was finished with puberty. I was ok for a long time, but then continuously gained for a three year period. I am looking into getting my thyroid hormone levels tested soon.
As stated in the first sentence, I have not had a cycle or spotting since October. It is now February, and I'm getting concerned. Pregnancy is definitely an explanation, but all tests have been negative.
So given this brief information, Should I Be Worried?

Hi S, it takes time for your body to get regular again, I think when you  when your periods start back then you should be able to get pregnant, its just your body readjusting to you not being on the pill.
Good Luck

It can take a year or lnger to get preggo under perfect circumstances without having been on the pill.  I would go see your GYN though at least put a call in to see what she/he says 5 missed periods is not normal for getting off the pill.  There could be a simple solution.

Well, no, you should not be worried, just diagnosed.  See your doctor.
