Clomid

My doctor just prescribed Clomid for me.  I would just like some feedback from anyone that has tried Clomid.  Any success stories/reservations??  I've read that it thins your lining, which can cause miscarriages (which totally seems to defeat the purpose of it) and I really don't think that I can emotionally handle another miscarriage.  Any advice?

I am on round 4 of clomid though the last 2 rounds I also used follistim.my lining was a the thinner side on cycle 3 but I took estrace and baby aspirin and it thickened right up. I was worried that it would be thin again this time, but it was 8.9 on cd10 with a triple line so I am in good shape for this cycle. Hoping that this is it! Good Luck to you!

Thanks everyone! I feel a lot more comfortable and should hopefully be able to start my Clomid in about 6 days!!!!  I have been prescribed an oral progesterone pill, but only to be used after I'm pregnant! Unfortunately, I can't seem to get pregnant, so I haven't filled the prescription.  Do you think I should talk to my dr about a suppository before I'm pregnant?  I didn't even realize that was an option!  Owlbaby . . . I want to join your thread, but just joined MedHelp yesterday and have no idea how to navigate the system! I looked on the forums page but was unable to find it!!

I took clomid for 1 month and had visual side effects and crazy mood swings.  I was taken off it and put on Fermara.  It is working great.  I am having no side effects at all.  It does not make your lining thin as badly.  It is more expensive than clomid, F: $36 x5    C: $16 x5,  Good luck!

My RE does the same thing.  After finishing round of clomid he has me taking progesterone suppositories to help thicken the lining 5 days after ovulation.

I have a friend who was on clomid for 2 months ended up pregnant with triplets. She is 8 or 9 weeks pregnant with them right now.

I just started taking clomid this cycle for the first time.

I just finished my first round of Clomid last week. My RE prescribed progesterone (to take vaginally 2 days after IUI/Ovulation). That will help thicken the lining. Good luck and tons of sticky sticky baby dust!!!

I took one round of Clomid, 50mg with 1500mg of Metformin since I have PCOS and I conceived. I delivered my baby 5 days ago. With the proper monitoring you should be fine. Baby dust to you.

well i was on clomid 50mg for 3 months with metoformin 1000mg cuz i have pcos and i got prego the 3rd month however it ended in an ectopic pregnancy. now im on clomid 100mg and this is my 3rd round since then and i haven't had any success yet however my period is 2 days late so i have to take a blood test on thursday. but as long as your doc is monitoring you then there is no problem with the clomid. I went to see my doc last week and i too addressed the same issue cuz he wants me to stay on it longer, but i told him this would be my 7th round in total and he did a few tests and said that everything looks normal. so i hope this helps you and alot of sticky baby dust to you
