TTC and put on fertility meds- advice please!

Hi everyone! I have been ttc since August of 2009, and I finally went to the doctor starting in april to start getting things figured out since no pregnancy has happened yet. And 2 months ago I had some blood work done to find out that I am not ovulating!! so this totally put a damper on things! so I was put on some fertility meds (clomiphene) and I have to try this for 6-7 months and if no pregnancy happens then it is on to try different meds :( This is my 2nd month taking these pills. I was just wondering if anybody has been in the same situation as me and if the meds really did work? my dr said that i should become pregnant within the 6-7 months but i am afraid that it wont...if anybody can give me advice or anything that would be great! thank you

Yeah I will definitely have to call my dr and give him an update so that he can decide what to do. is femara a more stronger dose than what clomid is?

I actually heard that clomid should work within about 3 months if it's going to.  My doctor switched me to femara after 3 months of clomid.  But very important that the doctor checks that you do actually ovulate with clomid.

that is such a good idea to get blood work done every month! i know i wouldnt have ever thought of that lol- i know he is making me do the LH kits so that I can tell if I am ovulating but man, those arent cheap for the good brands and getting blood work would actually be cheaper because my insurance covers that! lol :) and i hope i have one of those great stories from this med! :) i am actually taking the med right now as you only take it for days 5-9 after your period so hopefully my body is adjusting to it so it can work its magic! :)

Well i can't say i'm on any meds as i think i ovulate ect but i no iv read about so many great storys on how clomiphene can help but you should ask your Dr if you can have blood work done eveymonth on the 21st day of your cycle just to make sure they are working for you. It will help you to not stress ect. Man i wish you all the best hun :)
