To let all know this is supposed to say my childrens father not my father
I have been ttc since 2006 first with my father (no longer together) and now with my husband I was diagnosed with PCOS last year. I told my doctor I wanted another child. She put me on birth control then metformin after a month i stopped the birth control. I asked for clomid because I heard it helps you to conceive she told me my husband had to be tested to see if was me or him has any mone else had to do this because after my 3 children i havent had another child. I switch doctors to see what he would say and he said the stating that if i already had children then he needs to be tested he doesnt mind but it is costly. Does any one kow of any way to grt this done cheaper or any other way around we have been trying or a long time!
Hi, I was diagnosed with pcos about a year ago. My fiance and I have been ttc for about 2 years now. My doctor put me on metformin and a prenatal vitamin. I have a medium sized cyst on my left ovary. She wants to go in and take that one out and do a ovarian drilling to help ovulation. She also wants to scope everything out and make sure my tubes aren't blocked. Has anyone ever had the drilling done? Could you share your experiences? Also, does anyone spot about the same time every month between cycles. You are more than welcome to look at my chart. I've read that it could mean you are fertile or it could mean a shift in hormones. I know women with pcos have experienced irregular bleeding, but the same time each month?
Have you considering visiting a naturopathic doctor?
I'd like to share my colleague's experience with you. She was diagnosed with PCOS years ago. She was TTC with her husband for almost a year and grew despondent. Last October she started tracking her temperature. In November she visited a naturopathic doctor. The woman told her to give her 3 months before going the fertility clinic route. My colleague continued monitoring her temps, followed the dietary guidelines and vitamins that were prescribed to her, including taking Vitex and getting acupuncture treatments...she conceived in December and is due in one month!
So please don't give up hope. If you prefer not going the high tech just yet, then maybe consider this alternative approach. Good luck to you.
Well most women with PCOS have insulin resistance so you can modify your diet...which includes eliminating sugars and bad carbs from your diet! This will help control your bodies insulin levels which will help out a lot... Without having to take meds! (eventhough meds help too)
I wish you the best of luck!
