If you get the OPKs get the ones that have a smiley face or a circle. These are easier to read and there is no questioning like with the line tests. I would go talk to your doctor now so you can start working out a plan. I waited a year then found out I have pcos which is nearly impossible to get pregnant with out medication. So go see your doctor and start asking questions to get the ball rolling. Normally it only takes 3-6 months to get pregnant when you start actively trying. You are past that mark so I would go ahead and see someone. Goodluck!

if you get a positive on the OPK then it is supposed to tell you that you will be ovulating within 24-48 hours and the day you get a positive and the day after are supposed to be the best BD day... once you have been actively trying for a year, go talk to your dr.  You might be able to talk to your dr now and talk about different options, but I know most drs will want you to try for 12 consecutive months before going further, or if you are older (this definition I've noticed is sometimes older than 30 and sometimes older than 35) they will try different measures after 3-6 months of consecutive trying... GOOD LUCK!

most guys can have kids=). i would not worry too much about that hun. i know its hard just not to think about it, not getting pregnant because the more you think about it, you just might not get that BPF, i know from my past when my fiance and i wanted a child well he wanted another one and i after my M/C that i had it took me 3 months to get pregnant again because i thought about it all the time and when i had my last cycle i didnt think about it and i didnt know when i ovulated and i didnt expect to get my BFP that i got, most women would tell you when you least expect it, you would most likely get that BFP=). i used the ovulation strips and i didnt like them because i could not tell if they were positive or not because they dont exactly tell you when you ovulate its only an estimation of when your going to ovulate from 24-36 hours. but what i did after trying those and they didnt work for me is i used a pellow for almost an hour after sex is put it under neath my hip that way the cervix was in like a pool of that semen, i used (EPO)Evening Primrose Oil 1,000mg and i used that from the first day of my period to the 2 days before i ovulated because it cause the uterus to contract and you dont want that to happen when your trying to get pregnant, i also took folic acid also until i saw my BFP and then i switched to prenatal, then i tried not to think about it too much and im currently 23w1d pregnant just from doing that and i think all that helped me get pregnant=). i hope this works hun. SSBD and good luck on getting your BFP=)
