Hi I'm new to the site.  I'm going through my 2nd IVF and unlike the last time I completed a HPT today (7 days post transfer) and it was negative, I've no symptoms to report, no reasons for infertility on either side. So I guess my question is: Has anyone had a BFN 7dp3t HPT and a BFP later?

Thanks Becky, today is really a tough day for me so your words come at a good time.  It's one of those disconnect days and one of deep introspection.......the wondering whether or not I am pregnant is killing me today but I won't break down and do a hpt it's way too early I'm only 6dpt and I'm scared of the what the result may be........Good luck on the 24th I'll be thinking of you.

Thank you so much for replying to me, it really does help just to get it out there. I've decided not to take another HPT and to wait for the beta on the 24th, that way I'll still retain some hope. Don't break under the strain Leatha, Good luck.

Hi,  I am 5dpt and I don't have any symptoms either.  I emailed my nurse and she just basically said that it was "normal"  as my body is probably not producing any of your own hCG yet.  So ignore that HPT if you can....I have my beta on the 27th and I am holding myself back and will only do a HPT on the morning of the 27th just so I can prepare myself either way.  Good luck with everything. BFN 7dp3t HPT means HCG out of your body, but a bit early to have BFP.
some HPT could not detect HCG below 50 or 100, but clear blue digital could detect HCG at 25.  If you can wait for beta (blood test), it's more accurate.  
I got BFP at 8dp3t at first IVF and 9dp3t at second one with clear blue digital but not with other branches.

I've never been through IVF, but will near the end of this year if no BFP before then. I just wanted to wish you luck, and I really hope you get your BFP in the next day or two!! :) I know there's a lot of women on here who have been through it, so hopefully they can get you some reassurance! :)
