Anyone go throught something similar?

So, I tried first cycle of clomid at 50mg and got a nice follicle at 16mm on cd 16. We BD'd at the right time etc. and didn't get pregnant. My doctor did a progesterone test at CD 31 (kind of late) and it came to 0.6. This is pretty low. So, he thinks I did not ovulate. Now, he put me back on clomid at 50mg. Does this sound right? In the last cycle, my uterine lining was about 6.8mm which is kind of thin but the doctor wasn't worried.

Should I continue with 50mg of clomid cycle 2 or try something else? My second clomid cycle would start tomorrow. I am wondering if I should take the pills and go for it. My cycle length did improve on clomid but apprently there was no ovulation (my Lh surge did become positive on day 17)

I was prescribed the Progesterone and Estrogen pills and got them from my local pharmacy. Perhaps you should talk to your OB about prescribing you Progesterone too. Wouldnt hurt to try. Good luck and sending lots of baby dust your way!!

I just finished my second cycle of clomid.  My first cycle we bd like crazy after the u/s showed the follicle at 16mm was rupturing that day.  Didn't get pregnant at all.  This cycle went in for scan had 31 follicles total instead of the 13 from the first cycle and my follicle matured at 28mm which is where it should be on a medicated cycle.  They had me do the trigger shot at cd12 and now I'm on progesterone until either AF shows in maybe 9 more days or get a BFP than I'll stay on progesterone.  Dr. prescribes the progesterone.  Helps esp w/ being on clomid since clomid is known for thining the endometrial lining after a while of being on it.

Hi,

yep agree with the above.

I am on clomid with estrogen to help the uterine lining.  Then I am given progesterone for 7 days after IUI to help optimise pregnancy.  Didn't work the last cycle - our first try - but am trying again this cycle.

You must have ovulated if you got a positive LH surge, right? When I was taking 50mg Clomid my uterine lining was also thinned out so my OB prescribed me Estrogen to help thicken it for implantation (and it also helped with the dryness from Clomid). Then I started taking Progesterone pills from CD15 - AF and guess what? AF was a no show. I am now almost 6 weeks pregnant so apparently that combination was perfect for me. I started losing hope with the Clomid too and this was my last round but to much of my surprise it truly WAS my last round after I got my BFP. I would keep your head up hun and give Clomid another chance. How many rounds have you taken already? Are you having any problems with dryness? I am sending you lots of baby dust your way.
