I Have PCOS and TTC

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 4 years ago and was put on the b/c pill to help regulate my cycles.
I stopped taking the pill a little over a year ago because my husband and I decided to try for a baby. We tried for 7 months with no luck.  I went to my ob/gyn and she put me on provera 10mg for 10 days. I started 2 days after my last pill and then started Clomid 50mg days 3-7.  I went on day 21 to have my levels tested, found out I did not ovulate.  So we tried again the second month, same treatment, started 2 days after my last Provera pill and did the Clomid cycle. Did not ovulate.
Well this past month she decided to up my dosage of Clomid, but first put me on Provera 10mg for 10 days to enduce my cycle.  It's 9 days after my last pill and I have not started my period yet. I've had off and on cramping for 9 days, a little in the morning, little in the afternoon and a little at night. They only last a few seconds and I occasionaly get a sharp shooting pain.  I noticed that on day 3 of my provera, my CM was very stretchy...that NEVER happens!!  So i'm wondering if maybe by some chance I ovulated while on Provera.   I called the dr. and she said to wait 14 days, if I haven't started by then, I needed to be seen.
Is this normal??  It's driving me crazy.

Hi, i agree you should be on metformin.. i take prometrium for 10 days to induce af, it can also take up to 14 days after the last pill.  i don't know if it has to do with pcos but every cycle i take prometrium it takes longer to start.  last cycle i got to day 14 and nothing!  my doc just started me on clomid again as if i had af.  i think women with pcos respond different to hormones, i would wait until day 14 then call your doc.  mine then does a beta hcg, progesterone, and testosterone level.. this will tell if you ovulated after you took the provera.

Well first I should say that your dr should always do a blood quantative bfore making your period start to check if you are pregnant!!!! Also you should be on metiform for PCOS. You do not have to have diabities to be on this anymore! Also taking birthcontrol to regulate PCOS casues more problems that sometimes can not be reversed!!! You should ask your dr to order you a blood quantative not a blood qualitive which is just a yes or no. yes the strechy CM is a great sign and I hope the cloimd worked this time. You should not wait 14 days! I would not!
