Where to go now? Your Experiences PLEASE!

My question is long (and requires history).(we have 3 children conceived naturally and then decided we wanted another after the vasectomy).
I just completed my first IVF cycle with ICSI due to husband vasectomy.    We got pregnant but I had a miscarriage. We did not have any embryos make it to freezing.  I really want to have another baby but don't know what direction to go.  We have very little money left to try IVF again, and I'm not sure if my husband's sperm was of that great quality.  Here's my question...Where do I go now?
Should we look at IVF again?  (with the possibility that we end up just like now?)
Should we try vasectomy reversal? (even though we were told IVF is where we might end up, which is why we tried it first)
Should we look at AI with donor sperm?

Any help, suggestions, experiences would be greatly appreciated.  I am at a total lost, especially since going through the miscarriage.

I would see if you can try to find out what caused the miscarriage before dropping another boatload of money. Have you had your thyroid checked? The optimal TSH level for TTC is between 1 & 2. If you're above 2, they should treat you. But many drs won't. They only look at the lab report for the range of normal, which is outdated and flat wrong. (like 0.5-5.5) There are lots of tests for possible miscarriage causes, but sadly usually you have to miscarry 2 or 3 times before they'll do those tests. See if you can get your dr to order these tests so you can be sure. There are also lots of clotting disorders that contribute to m/c. To prevent that from happening you can just take one baby aspirin a day. Many IVF regimes include that. My other recommendation for balancing hormones (& helping boost thyroid function) is maca root. A good dose would be 1,500mg-3,000mg/day. It's not a drug so it has no side effects and you don't need a prescription. Obviously I don't know for sure what caused your m/c, but in my experience, those two things (blood clotting issues and thyroid issues) seem to pop up on a fairly regular basis. The other benefit of baby aspirin keeping the blood thin is that it helps the blood flow get to all the areas of your body that need it. And I think many women actually do have blood flow issues and don't know it. Depending on your age, I would consider trying naturally for a few months with these two things. Eat as healthy as you can, take a good prenatal, and get some moderate exercise each day. Walking is really good and it's free! And drink tons of water and use sea salt instead of table salt in the water and on your food. Any way, that's my two cents! Good luck to you!

if you conceived with the first IVF  there's no reason to think it wouldn't work again.  most miscarriages are due to random chromosomal problems with that particular embryo and do not affect your chances of carrying the next one to term.
so i'd try another round, but that depends on your finances as well.
good luck!

The dr should be able to tell you the quality of your husband's sperm--they test it before ivf.  I don't know enough about vasectomies to give advice other than find out what your husband's sperm quality was.
You could also go to another RE for a second opinion. I'm a big fan of the second opinion : )  Good luck!
