I am on CD23 as well I have been having cramps for the last 5 days. My last AF was Jun 16 and O'd Jun 30-1. Could the cramping be a sign? Could a blood test work now?
From what I understand, if you had an hCG injection it could take up to 2 weeks for the hCG to leave your system. If you have received hCG boosters it could take even longer. This applies mostly with IVF.
If you do the HPT test during this time frame, it could give you both false positive and false negative result.
As hard as it may be (I've been there twice), I would stay positive and busy until Sunday.. save your money. Can't imagine nothing worse than getting a (+) HPT and then a (-) beta.
Good luck!
the dollar store kind do not test anything below 100hcg so you would not get a positive probably until after af is due with one of those. pay the few extra bucks and buy a clear blue digital and test in a day or so.
I used an old school kind from the 99 cent store. It was neg. I'm bummed. It said 98% accurate on the box.
I agree with leighanne.Clearblue digital test seems to be very sensitive.
It gave me a BFP one day before my beta that was very low at 17.
Good luck!

i did not have IVF, but i got a positive on either day 8 or 9 post O which is very early. i used a clear blue digita which i got a great deal on at walmart, 5 of them for 18 bucks. But i guess it tests when you have under even 25 of hcg level. Good luck
Hi,
Yes, I can relate. My 1st IVF I pos 5 days post 5 day transfer and got a negetive even though I ended up getting a positive beta. With my current IVF cycle, we are using a gesational carrier, she pos 5 days post 5 day transfer and got a positive hpt. So you never know. I have heard of women doing an hpt the day before their beta and had it be negative, and they end up being pregnant, so you just never know!
