We really want to have a baby after we are married.

I am 30 years old with 3 kids. I was married to their father and it didn't work out. Now that I reconnected with my first love we would like to have a baby girl after we get married.  I had a tubeligation done 5 years ago and now I regret it. What can I do to have a baby? How much will it cost, and what is the risk?

I was in a similar situation although much older when we decided to try to get pregnant.  I ended up going for IVF as my re recommended it as I was too old to go for tubal reversal.  Tubal reversal is cheaper than IVF which runs about $12K+ including meds.  I'm not sure how much tubal reversal is though - good luck w/your decision.

Hi Nyeemah,

You can always try IVF.  They would extract your eggs and introduce them to the sperm and implant them into your uterus.  IVF is costly, I'd want to say about $8,000 or more and of course is not guaranteed that you will get pregnant but your chances are very good.  I don't know the costs of reversing your tubaligation so you can weigh those options if you find out.  The risks with reversing that is you could end up with an ectopic pregnancy or the surgery may not exactly work. I'm sure some of the ladies on here will respond and give you exacts and more advice.

Good luck!!
