First IVF Cycle, Failed :0(

Hi,

I just completed my first IVF Cycle, failed  3/2/10..didn't even get to trans. one had one egg DNF. :0(
But my question is, how long did your Doc's tell you to wait between Cycles? I am already on BC for round 2, I'm 39 and I am labled a low responder. I am thinking maybe this is why my Doc isn't taking any time between?

Yeah I guess its not called baby asprin in our area its "low dose" asprin 81Mg.  I did talk with my RE and she said to go ahead and take it she said it wouldnt harm anything.  She did say that it hasnt been proven it works!  I am impatinetly waiting for my AF, since I did IVF cycle last month everything is like three weeks behind I think, hopefully it starts this week!

Baby aspirin??  I have prescription baby aspiring but also bought it over the counter (walgreens brand)  I have to take it forever due to a clotting problem.  I take one a day whether I am trying to get prego or not.  If you decide to take it I would really consult with your RE.

Sounds like you have been through a wild ride!!  Sorry to hear about the m/c!  So your starting the whole round of IVF soon here.  and you are taking baby asprin the whole time right?  Do you even take it the day of the transfer?  What brand are you taking?

I just turned 38 in feb.  I have done one IVF & one IUI.  I did the IVF because I was told my R tube was blocked.  I did IVF got prego & had m/c in Jan.  After that had another HSG & told tubes are open so that is why I did the IUI.  I am going back to IVF though & start my bc pills on tuesday.   I did also find out I have blood clotting MTHFR & PAI-1 so it's possible that is why I m/c.  We will use lovenox when I am confirmed pregnant again. My FSH is 7 & I respond to the drugs so am hopeful!!!
I use lupron, GOnel-F & menopur.

We are trying DHEA for 3 months and then 2nd ivf cycle with new protocal and progesterone shots and suppositiories ! (Last 2 cycles were a chemical)Looks like a summer 2010 cycle! No Coronas on the beach for me but hopefully a BFP!

Yeah I know, you just know how men are LOL!  But he would be happy after he fainted LOL!!  So what is your story?  How many cycles have you been through?  I am sorry about your last cycle, do you have any medical history that would cause that?

Given what we go thru to have a baby I would be dancing up & down the streets if I got twins.
I transferred two embryos last cycle & one took but ended in m/c.  Next cycle I am trying for transfer of three eggs.

Hey there!  I was a slow responder to for my first IVF in January/Feb.  we used ICSI and ended up wtih only 1 to transfer and 1 to freeze (out of 10 that were fertilized).  Just made me mad & sad, according to our warranty I have to transfer the 1 remaining embryo, so hopefully it thaws correctly.  If not we are gonna try to get into the warranty program again and try another round of IVF.  They are going to change my protocol so hopefully that round I will have more to freeze.  of course then they say they want me to transfer two (my husband would probably faint if we ended up with twins LOL).

Keep trying Kahlua. I only had 3 Follicles, all on one side and then at ER had 2 empty's and 1 Egg. I have heard of ppl trying a 2nd time and getting a better out come.

I just had my first ivf fail ..i had only 3 eggs and transferred 2..got a positive beta but began to bleed..we were unexplained..but i know i responded poorly..DH does not want to go though it again.we will see RE this week..Good Luck
