Women with PCOS

I am looking for advice and encouragement for my brother and sister in law who have been trying to get pregnant for a year. Sorry if it annoys you that this is in the wrong section. She was diagnosed with PCOS in December and has been taking Clomid for the last 5 months and getting blood tests done every month to see if she is ovulating,  which she is.  Do any of you have PCOS? How long did it take you to get pregnant?  Did you have to use medicine?  Did you use the same one until you got pregnant or did they try something different after a few months of no success?

I was diagnosed with PCOS around 8 years ago, and have been trying to conceive for the last 4. I have never sought any medical help until now. My doctorput me on metformin and recommended that I lose weight, so I'm trying that now. Best of luck to your brother and sister in law.

My good friend has Pcos and it took her 7 years to conceive but she was also overweight.  Once she lost a bit she got pregnant without any meds. My bff also has Pcos and got pregnant by surprise.  They weren't trying at all. So it can happen for sure just listen to the Dr and get healthy in regards to nutrition and weight.

I was diagnosed with pcos like 2 years ago. They put me on a thyroid medicine and metformin and birth control. After being on all that for like a year my doctor suggested that we start trying.  We tried and nothing but one night in February we just had fun and got crazy (tmi) well I am now 10+3 with my second child.  My son is 4 years old. I didn't get diagnosed until after I had him. Oh I also had to loose some weight
