a surprise BFP
OK, I feel really stupid after posting my BFN a week ago but I guess I am going to join sarge and be a living proof that poor-looking embryos do stick. My beta today came back at 101 with progesterone at 13.2. I was in complete shock and did not believe the result. The day of the transfer our embryologist refused even to give us probability of success and just said that it is lower than 60% they’ve come to expect at their lab. So, I ran to cvs and got FRER (this is my very first cycle when I did not POAS obsessively starting at 10 dpo since I did not think I had a chance). FRER showed two lines right away so I guess this is for real. I am still in shock and I do know that this is REALLY early (I am 14 days pass retrieval) but I have some hope that my dreams of becoming a mother may come true one day.
I want to thank everyone for their prayers, advice and good luck wishes. I never sent out a friendship invitation on this forum since I was always afraid of being rejected (I was not very popular in high school). But I have a long list of friends who supported me through all of my ups and downs especially this cycle and I am going to thank everyone personally tonight. No one besides my dh knows we were struggling so you were the only people who actually knew what was going on in my life. I feel you are my cyber family and I hope I’ll be around to give you all of the support that I can give and share my considerable experience with infertility.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is WONDERFUL news! I saw your initial BFN post and was so upset for you, but now you have made my day! Best wishes for a healthy and happy journey ahead. Be sure to keep us all posted.

Unfortunately my second beta is not for another week. For some reason my doc does not test every other day. He told me to test in 1 week and see if beta goes up 10 times. I hate waiting for a whooooole looooong week but his advice got me this far so I did not argue.
