Cramping for more than 7 days after O

HI

I am wondering if anyone else have this happening to them every month. I get cramps in my left ovary almost like an infection and I have that for days and then it goes slightly to the right side but not for long. It goes on for more that a week. I am on day 25 and it is still there, My IVF doc yyesterday said it is not normal and I may have some bleeding and scarring. I suggested could it be cysts and he said he would check next scan we do when I have my frozen egg transfer.

It is not so painful I need piankillers but it is there and I just feel like I have an infection or something.

Thanks for reading my thread.

I got pregnant 4 weeks exactly after my lap. sadly though u mc'd @ 11 weeks, which had nothing to do with my surgery. I am in my 2ww right now ( 6 more days to go!) & just because of my age I didn't want to waste anymore time I have done now 2 cycles of gonal-F & this month we did 2 IUI's, one a few hours before O & the 2nd a few hours after O.
My lap was not painful really at all, I fully recovered in about 2.5 weeks & I never took anything stronger than a few ibprofen's or regular Tylenol.
& as long as I have good ovarian reserve, I pretty much have as good of chance getting pregnant as anyone else, I O wveryminth from my right.
I am just SOOOOOO thankful my OB took care of my problem, it was very painful! & I had to be "brave" for my 3 kids (especially for my girls) I didn't wasn't to scare them, but the pain I was in was pretty bad @ times! ;(
Hopefully yours won't be so bad & it will resolve on it's own!  Best of luck with your IVF!!!!

Thanks for your reply.

Your situation doesn't sound too good. Lucky they got it out. I have a mild case of endo too so I think it is that causing the pain. I am so not preprade to have a lap done. I remember last time and it hurt like h... after but if the doc says thats what we need to do offcourase I will. At this stage he said that at the time they do the scan just before egg transfer they will check for imflamation and cysts aswell.

I am certain it is not normal as there is no break from the cramping from O till AF.

Have you been able to have children after having your tube taken out?

hi there ;). I know what you are talking about all too well!  go in & get a vaginal US done asap. I had an endo cyst that grew to over 8cm inside my left ovary. every month about 1-2 days after AF til just after O I would have SOOOO much pain!  my stomac would hurt & at times it just felt like I was inflamed inside!  & I was!!!  my cyst would "bleed" & irritate my organs & it HURT!  sometimes I could actually feel my poor Lil ovary just heavy & twist!!!  I had lap done & they had to take my ovary/tube out cuz I waited too long to have it done ;(
Maybe you don't have a cyst, but pain that comes like that regularly is not normal. so go in!
keep me posted!!!
