Cycle day DUMB question!

what is day 1 of a cycle?  It is the first day of your period?  Do you count light spotting as starting?????

yes, that is what my Dr also said, day 1 is the first day when you get full flow...not spotting

spotting doesn't count.  It's your first day of an actual flow.  :)

I tend to ignore light spotting, especially if it comes in the evening, and just start the count the next day.  If I were to begin spotting at 1 am and spot all through that upcoming day and night, I might count that as a Day 1.

I think the first FULL day of your period is your 1st cycle day. That's what my doctor told me anyways. :)  Hope this helps. :D
