Hypothyroid and getting pregnant

Anyone hypo thryoid with experience in getting pregnant? 6 weeks ago my tsh was 1.93 but i just got it re-tested and it is now a 2.74. Even tho my endo and my RE say this number is still ok to try and get pregnant, i have read that it should really be as close to a 1 as possible. I am scheduled to do IUI this month and i don't know if i should waste the money if my TSH is high like this. Anyone have any advice?

Thanks for the info. Yes, I am on synthroid and my dr  just increased my dose. I just keep reading that tsh should really be between a 1 and 2 but more close to 1. Are you pregnant now and/or did you get pregnant when your tsh was 2.37?

i had tsh of 2.37 when i tested few months back. My RE too said it is fine. But once u get preggo my thyroid doctor asked me to increase the dosage. So to get pregnant may b this is fine but once u r preggo u may need to increase. I mean u r on artificial thyroid harmones right? This is just my opinion if u r not very sure try for a second opinion.
