doubting myself

Due to several reasons (financial & distance) DH & I can't see and RE, we have found a dr locally who does IUI's & I will be going this week to have 2 done.  Normally I O around CD 11 or 12 so based on this the Dr set the IUI's up for CD 11 & 13, right now I am on CD 11 & I feel nothing!!!  I did take clomid CD5-9 so maybe that is the problem, anyway now I am doubting myself about everything and need a little reassurance.  I don't do bbt because I have sleep issues and when I tried I began obsessing about what time I was waking up and it became a hugh hassel.  Anyway I usually know when I O but my question is once I get a +OPK & have EWCM that means I will be Oing soon, like in the next 24 hrs, right??  In the meantime I cld the Dr's office and they put it off till tomorrow.

LOL! Yeah, that's exactly how it goes :-)

By the way, I'm the same way...I test twice a day too.

I have been a testing freak.  I have been testing w/ FMU & late afternoon I am so afaid I am going to miss it!!  Sounds like we will both be busy for the next few days and then going crazy & obsessing for the next 2 weeks.  Isn't that they way it goes!

...oh, and if you do get a surge tonight, I would definitely do the IUI tomorrow; and if you decide to do two, the next one on Thursday!

Good luck!

I would check tomorrow to see if you get a positive OPK, and if so, do the IUI in the afternoon. I'm not sure if it's better to have the second one done on Thursday or Friday. My RE would always do them two days in a row...but who knows :-)

I've heard that washed sperm can live 24-72 hours (they've survived up to 72 hours on an incubator).

Sounds like you're getting really close, since you're having both cramping and EWCM. Maybe you should do another OPK tonight...just to make sure you don't miss the surge.

I just got a positive OPK today, so looks like we're on the same schedule this month :-)

still no +OPK but definate cramping and some EWCM.  I still have an IUI scheduled for tomorrow afternoon do you think I should do another on on Friday?  Isn't sperm is supposed to stay alive for 48 hours if so that would give me 4 days of being covered, right?

I have an appointment on April 15th...that's the earliest I could get. But hopefully I'll get a BFP before then and get to cancel the appointment ;-)

Crossing my fingers for both of us, so we can continue chatting in the "pregnancy" forum!

...that would be nice!!!

That would be so nice!!!  It would be great to get a BFP but to get it & be able to chat with someone else on the same page as you would be great!  I know you were thinking about it but have gone to an RE yet?

No problem, Becca! I really hope this is your month!!! I should be ovulating sometime this week too (I'm CD 10 today). Fingers crossed for two big fat positives coming up later this month :-)

Hi Islandmama! Hope you're doing well! I would probably call the doctor and delay the IUI. Clomid can delay ovulation for some women (myself included), so if you haven't gotten a positive OPK yet, I would wait until you get a positive. Once you get your LH surge, you'll probably ovulate within the next 48 hours. When I had my IUIs done, they would do one the day I detected the surge and another one the following day. Good luck!
