Hi i totally understand how confusing it is its just so much to take in when you have a million things flying around your head! The most common starting point for clomid is on day 3 but i would contact your doctor just to make sure.
I had clomid after some years of trying and i never dreamt for a minute it would work for me as i have a few medical problems pos for one but guess what..... i got pregnant 1st time and even better i had twin girls. They were born 2 months early and survived some real problems but thier here their wonderful and their 4 years old now. Goodluck to everyone out there trying my heart and good wishes go out to you all x ClaireBear
I'm a little confused to. Which doctor prescribed the Clomid? Let's start with that.
You need to call your CURRENT doctor and ask these questions. What's right for some else may not be what's right for you.
Only your physician should advise you on dosages and timing of Clomid. If you are taking Clomid, you should be in close contact with your doctor and feel comfortable and sure of his/her instructions. If you are confused, CALL AND ASK.
I agree with Tina............
Amy, some of your sentence's are incomplete and hard to determine your questions. At any rate, my experience is that my period began on Monday (full period, NOT spotting) and you count that as DAY 1 of your cycle. My Dr. instructed me to take 50mg of my Clomid on days 3,4,5,6,7 (that is 5 pills) then wait 5 days after the last pill which would be Cycle day 12 and BD that day and every day there after until your heart is content. If I don't fall pregnant then I must follow back up with my Dr. for further recomendation.
I have had two miscarriages, (unexplained) and still don't really know what my cycles are irregular, but I don't have PCOS or any other problems to my knowledge. It may be a LP problem, or ovulation problem, so I am taking Clomid as prescribed by my OBGYN 1st then we will go from there.
Good Luck!

Didn't your doctor tell you when to start?
Your dr really needs to be the one to tell you that important of info. Not all drs precribe the same. Each person is different and dosing needs to be determined by a dr. Also, the amount dr prescribed is the amount that should be taken and no more. Serious problems can occur if not right amt.
