from OPK to BBT

So after I was told I probably missed it to test for my Ovulation day, I got a question about my BBT, I'm really new with all of this :) so I seem to have a lot of questions, I know, I'm sorry, but could someone take a look at my Ovulation Tracker and explain to me why last month my BBT was going up down, up and so much down again, and this month it's nearly the same everyday. I've been taking my BBT in the morning, right after I get up, I read somewhere that I should be doing it like that, before I do anything else, so I've been doing that now and I just find it strange that it barely changes. Maybe I'm just getting sick, IDK, I guess I have to wait till I get my period and see.

i guess that makes sense... I usually wake up here and there during the night, specially when it comes closer to the morning, and when the alarm goes off i take the temp, but that  helps, thanx :)

Also, it says you were on BCP's earlier this month.  It could take up to 3 months to start ovulating again, or longer.  They usually want you to wait to conceive until you've had 3 months of normal menses.  That being said, I conceived my daughter after getting off the pill - before I ever had a period, so it is possible.

Also, you were charting while taking the pills.  That doesn't make sense to me...you don't ovulate while on the pill.  This could also be why your temp is all over the place.

I would continue to chart and make sure you what tina said and take your temp first thing.  I usually put my thermometer on the alarm clock.

Good luck!

Bbt should be done while still in bed, b4 your feet even hit the floor, immediately upon waking. Your temps seem really high. Like temps do after activity. In order to get a "basal" reading, it must be done after 4-5 hrs sleep and as soon as you wake. When you stand and/or start moving or even just lie in bed awake, the temp starts rising and the reading is no longer valid.

It is normal to see ups and downs prior to o. After o, you should see a visable shift to a higher temp and it should level out a bit.
