how early is too early+

I am going through this fertility treatment as though I am studying for a mid term. Half the time I feel lost. My doctor tells me what to do and I do it. This month we started the clomid challenge. I took clomid on days 5-9 of my cycle. Then I went in for an estradol, and FSH check. I was told my body had reacted good to the clomid. I had 4 mature follicles, three being 16 mm, and one being 17mm. Not that I really know what that means, but was told this was really good. Then 2 day s later I went in for an ultrasound. sure enough there were the follicles, according to the sonographer. I had to give myself a HCG injection that night. Then sex for three days. Then I  began Etrace,which I am supposed to take everyday until July 5. IToday I have given myself, another injection of HCG, and I am also taking progestrone suppositories every night. The last 2 days I have been feeling really tired, a little quezy. Is this normal? could I be pregnant and feeling the symptoms already. My first cycle day was June 6. It is right at 3 weeks. I have been through so much I feel like I maybe just imagining anything I feel. I don't want to feel something get my hopes up only to be let down again. I am so very confused with all this. the doctor can repeat it a 100 times and I still don't seem to remember what everything is for. Please any advice would help.

Did you get your BFP on your first time using follistim?  I just did that I had my IUI on 6/17 so am patiently waiting for that BFP to show up.  I started feeling some lower abdominal cramps today -- so I am wondering if this cycle was a washout and AF will show up 7/1 when she is supposed to.

ascott: your defintely not too ealry to start feeling preg symptoms : )    i think i noticed mine initial strange twinge around 9 or so days post IUI, but had no clue it was a symptom!  i had totally given up hope! so for the first time i wasnt' analyzing things!   Are you going oin for a beta tomorrow or a progesterone?    I used follistim when we got our BFP, low dose, but it was super easy to use. OOO  for those of you that are using it.. i think my follistim pen was the 300mcg or iu's     and i want to say it was maybe 300$ or so, but not as bad as i thought it was going to be... we got it from IVPcare    they seem to have good prices!   GOOD LUCK girls! keep me updated! : )

Follistim is an injectible medicine.  I am like you I swear I feel things too -- I am 9dpiui today and just started feeling some lower cramps on my left side -- probably means that AF will show up when expexted -- how many days in are you in the 2WW

You will not know how relieved the answers make me feel. Even if not everything is clear, just to know someone is listening and knowing what I'm going through. This is our first cycle of clomid. My doctor, an RE, reports my body responded well wit 4 mature follicles, trigger shot, progestrone suppositories, estral pills, etc... I go tomorrow for my consult and blood test. I did call the nurse today to ask about the 2nd injection called a "minidose." she said it was to keep my ovaries communicating with my body that I'm pregnant. I gather so my body keeps working appropriately. I am in that 2WW. It is driving me crazy. I am feeling things, but don't want to get my hopes up only to be let down. I think every month I feel something. My mind plays tricks on me. Can someone tell me what follistim is? sorry to be so lost. Just would like to know everything. I have really learned alot from this forum. Am I the only one that logs on as soon as I come from the doctor, just to find out anything and to make myself feel better. Can anyone tell me if I am too early to be feeling pregnacy signs.

It's weird they had you do a second trigger....I wonder what that was for?

And all doctors are different...sounds like yours follows the same protocol mine did.  He had me do the clomid and trigger the first month with intercourse and then two more months of Clomid with triggers with IUI's.  No luck for us.  Maybe he is trying it this way for the first month.  Most RE's have a treatment plan for you.  Are you going to an RE or a regular OB/GYN?  I just took 2 cycles off and am in the 2 ww and hoping it works this month because I don't want to have to shell out the money for the next step...injectables.  Thank God I have coverage for the meds, but still it will be about $1450 a cycle.

Me too!  I have like 2 unopened packs under the sink in the bathroom and one that has one left -- I know for sure they will all be gone by Monday -- LOL  That is great that you got your BFP at 11dpiui I hope that is me too.  I am 8dpiui today so maybe the weekend I will be on cloud 9 --

haha, i always swore i wouldn't test ealry each month, then i would have a test that was left over from last month  that i'd say ahhh i guess i will, or i'd go buy more thinking, well i am just getting them for next week, and test ealry!!! i was so bad! but the trigger was uasually out of my system 8 days afterwards! i got my bfp 11 dpiui, swore it had to be from the trigger!! but it wasn't  : )  i think i POAS 10 times after that! haha

This was my first time using the trigger shots.  So I am patiently waiting my 2 weeks is up 7/1 but I will probably test sooner than that cause I am crazy

lots of people use trigger shots, i'm personally  big fan (esp of novarel, i didnt' have good luck on ovidrel) you should ovulate around 36 hours after the shot....and sperm (as long as your dh has a good semen analysis) can last up to 4 days or so,so if you bd for three days after the shot you should be good to go! : )  lots of people do get preg with clomid and triggers and bd, unfortuantely we have male factor and lots of other issues so we moved straight to IUI, which worked the 3rd time (on femara, novarel and follistim)    Are you with a fertiltiy doctor?? I just let mine know we wanted to be more aggressive adn he has been great with that! good lucK!

I did clomid for 5 cycles my 5th cycle was with IUI.  I got pregnant on my 3rd cycle but ended in what they call a bio-chemical pregnancy.  I believe with in 48-36 hours your eggs release -- I did trigger at 8pm on Sunday 6/15 and had the IUI at 11:00 on Tuesday 6/17.

Thanks. does the shot immediately release the egg. After searching the forum I have noticed so many different fertility calanders. Some doctors do this some do that... How do we know what is right. Has anyone gotten pregnant on their first round of clomid and trigger shot. I hear everyone else talking about IUI. Feel like i should skip the whole clomid session. I'm 35 years old and am begining to feel maybe this is not going to work for us.

I did follistim injections this month and on Sunday 6/15 I was told to trigger myself (Ovidrel) was the name of my shot and I had my IUI on 6/17.  My re told me that the Ovidrel tells your body to release the eggs.  So I would think that is what Norvel does too.  I am not sure why they are making you inject again with the same thing.

I am on day 10 past my trigger shot. could u tell me what the trigger shot (Norvel) is exactly for? Probably a silly question, but i seem to get more straight answers here than at the doctors office. It all seems to run together when Im there. une 6, first day of menstral, According to my cycle i should not have ovulated until the 19,20,21 of June. However, I took the clomid on days 5-9 went back and was told i had great follicles ready. so that night June 16, I took the trigger shot. and told to have sex 3 days back to back, my DH was estatic. I am so confused as to when I ovulated. I had to take another (Norvel) shot yesterday. anyone know why? Is this not the same as the trigger shot.  I go back tomorrow for blood test and consult. What is this blood test for? It say to test my HCG but wouldn't it be misleading if I just took a shot.

so what day past your first trigger injection are you??    sounds like you had a beautiful response to the clomid thats great! : )       I have heard of people getting symptoms as ealry as 6 to 7 days post ovulation,, however the bean does have to implant first of course to get symptoms.. i got my bfp 11 days after IUI.. i had some increased urination the day before and then some burning like twinges probably three days before my bfp, like a poke that was burning i noticed i had never had before (our first BFP)  is this your first month on the progesterone? unfortuantely progesterone is such a tease! it gives you many of the preg symptoms! exhaustion, sore bb's, bloating, constipation, etc.... I am praying for you that this is your BFP! : )   keep us udpated!: )
