how to stay positive during IVF/ICSI

Anyone here doing IVF/ICSI? When we tried for our son we ended up having to do ICSI but got pregnant pretty quickly after starting the treatment. Now we are trying for a second child, have had 3 embryo transfers so far. Fourth one coming up in a few days. I get worried that we won't succed this time and that we will not be able to give our son a sibling. Docter is satisfied of the treatment results so far given our circumstances. How do I stay positive and not lose myself in worrying?

A little update here. Our last ET didn't take unfortunately. Now I'm back on hormones, Decapeptyl since March 3rd and Gonal F since March 13th. We'll be having ultrasound and follicle measurement next Friday. Feeling relatively calm and fairly optimistic about the whole thing. So we'll see what it brings....

Well we'll have embryo transfer tomorrow if all goes well. Flu mostly gone fortunately though still some muscle ache. At least no fever! Then we'll be going into the terrible two week wait. I think I can go into it with relative calm and neutrality this time.

Thank you ladies! I have long kept a journal/diary but the last few years have not been writing regularly. Good tip to try and write some more. And trying to keep busy also a good tip. Usually between work and my son (14 months) there is not much time left to think. But the last few days I have been cooped up at home with the flu. Decided not to take any chances and rest up at home and not try and work when I'm not up to it so I'll be all recoverd for the embryo transfer on Monday. But that unfortunately leaves time to think. I try and keep 'busy' with cross stitch and watching tv and playing with my son for as far as my headache will let me. I am also doing acupuncture as to help with the fertility treatment. I have an appointment coming up on Friday, that always relaxes me.
Have you ladies been succesfull with the treatments?

I know that it is REALLY hard and can be frustrating. I found myself trying to stay busy. I spent time with friends, went out to eat, talked on the phone, and did pretty much anything. That helped me and the blogs were helpful.

Good luck and Keep us posted! :)

I found that writing and keeping a daily journal helped me. Granted I didn't have kids yet. So focus on your son abd do something relaxing for you when u can. Remain positive!
