i dunno how it works

im 16, my periods i think are starting to become more regular- they seem to last about 5 days. When does this mean im most fertile, is it still day 14 in the cycle? or is earlier because they dont last 7 days?

I ovulate & always have between days 10-13 & my cycles have always been between 26-28 days long.  Like the other 2 said, USE PROTECTION, or best yet, DONT have SEX, you are WAY too young for this stuff, not only the obvious physical part, but the emotional part is really too much @ your age.

Also, as minney says, you can have sex up to 7 days before you ovulate & get pregnant!

PLEASE be careful hun;-/

Another thing to consider is that sperm can live in you for a few days, so just abstaining on day 14 or 15 doesn't mean you can't get pregnant. Like Kricket said, please use protection. Personally, I ovulate (most fertile time) between days 15 and 25... Everyone is different. Using protection kinda takes the guessing, nerves, and stress out of the situation.

You are too young to be worried about this.  If you are having sex please make sure you use protection.  On average the ovulation day is day 14/15 if your cycle goes a full 28 days.  There are also sticks that you pee on that are sold over the counter that tell you when you are most fertile.

But Pippa please remember to use protection!!!
