Have you ever thought about going to a loan place. Some times you can get a loan with some collateral. I went through Citi Financial and took out a loan for home improvements a few years ago. If you have a institute like I would try them and the payments aren't that bad. It is very expensive to do IVF. I would even consider looking to other nearby states and see what there prices were. Good Luck
thanx for the help if anybody thinks of anyother options please let me know
Like I said I cannot think of any ins co's in IL that will allow you to try and sign on for infertilty coverage only. Many do not cover IVF and you are still responsible for the deduct/ co-ins as well as all of the non-covered expenses. By the time all of that adds up you may have just gone ahead and saved enough for an IVF on your own.
thanks for the advise but the problem is we dont have the credit to do payments through the clinics they all require good to great credit we are regular people wanting a baby we dont have the thousands and thousands of dollars any other suggestions any employers in illinois u know that covers infertility or any insurance i will try and contact the employer and see if can add infertility coverage but i dont think so
Hi,
There is one clinic in NY and NJ. They charge a flat fee rate of $8000 per IVF cycle. It is called - American Fertility Services, ph 212-750-3330.
Where abouts in IL are you. I also know an infertilty clinic that really does work closely with the uninsured to set up IVF pymt plans.
Hi,
There is a clinic named "Center for human reproduction" (NY & Illinois). They charge very minimal for those who haven't insured/unemployed and salary based charges. Following is the link to that clinic, please have a look:

What you need to do is call the individual carriers and see how much it would cost for you to purchase ins for the infertility coverage. I can tell you that most ins carriers do not cover IVF at 100%. I have BCBS PPO IL and they would not cover IVF at all... Only the diagnostic testing that led up to a dx of infertility. Your best bet is to actually contact your employers ins and ask if you can add an infertility rider to your ins coverage. Which means you are paying for that benefit even tho your work has opted not to have infertility coverage on the policy. You also would be able to avoid denial for pre-exsisting condition.
Regardless if you pay out of pocket or through the ins it is going to be expensive. Also a lot of ins companies consider infertilty a pre-exsisting condition and will not offer coverage.
Let me know if you have any questions. I have worked for IL ins companies for 12 years..
