How quickly to test after IVF?

Hi All! This is new for me.  I just began my first round of IVF this past Tuesday with Lupron shots.  Waiting for all of the drug types I get to start sticking myself with.

After egg transfer, how quickly can they start testing you to see if it has worked?  Do they suggest blood work or the standard pregnancy test?

Thanks!

Hi welcome and good luck on your first cycle. After transfer you wait 2 weeks before a bllod test is done to know whether or not it was successful. Some ladies have done home pregnancy tests within the 2 week though , I didn't I was too scared to see any false readings. Good luck and I hope it is successful for you!

My RE does the beta hcg test 15 days after the egg retrieval, but I've read that a lot of women's RE's wait longer to prevent false positives/chemical pregnancy readings.

every clinic is different as to when they test you after a transfer.
mine tested 15 days after my 3 day transfer.
i did HPT starting 8 days after and started getting BFPs that were later confirmed on my blood tests.
good luck!
