I used the answer brand ones you are talking about for a year. I did get pg using them but unfortuately I mc. I have a hard time reading them sometimes so I switched to the Clear Blue Easy digital a few months ago and they definitely make it much easier!!! Good luck to you.
thank u for ur help ladies! i don't know if its too late to buy the clear blue now but i will definitely keep that in mind if i ever need it again in the future... i have to look up on the internet how long do i ovulate for cuz yesterday when i took the test the line looked really dark on my first response test but light on my answer test. when i did the test this morning the light was darker on my answer test and i have yet to check my first response test. i'll do that at 12pm. hopefully it'll all pan out for me.. i do a natural ivf cycle next month so i don't want to have to wait another month cuz i didn't take my time and do it right this time around.. not to mention my embriologist will be in and out of the country for the holidays so everything will have to be put on hold?! grr? y my dr's office would only have one embriologist i'll never know??? well again thank u!
I also use clearblue digital. The smiley face tells you when you have your ovulation surge. They are a little more expensive but worth it. Target is usually a good place to buy them as they are cheaper than cvs or rite aid. Good luck!!
I've been using Answer pretty regularly for a few months now because they are much cheaper by comparison. Spend some time reading the paper insert inside the box, it answers most of your questions. You should be testing in the evening (not after 8pm) and try to test at the same time everyday. There should be a control line on every stick to show that the test worked. The test line will vary. If you are ovulating, the test line should be as dark as, or darker than the control line. When there is no test line at all, you are not ovulating. In the days nearing or just after ovulation, the test line may be close in color to the the control line because your body's hormones are increasing/decreasing and that is what the ovulation kit detects. I have used the tests after the 30 day period and I think they still work....but I'm not pregnant, so I can't say for sure.
I don't know anything about the brands you used but I've been using Clear Blue Easy Digital Ovulation tests and I love them. They are easy to use and easy to read. After you pee on it, it starts blinking to let you know it is working properly. You get a blank circle if it is negative and a smiley face once it is positive. On their website they have a section that helps you figure out when to start testing. http://www.clearblueeasy.com/start-testing-with-clearblue-easy-ovulation-tests.php. As long as you follow the instructions and use them before the expiration date you should be good.
Good luck!
