ivf egg donation

Does anyone abstain to go to the bathroom the hours after IVF? Should I try a natural herbal laxatives the night before to flush my intestin? Thursday May 07  I will have a transfer. This is my first ivf and I am doing egg donation since my eggs are too poor quality and quantity to try. I am almost 40 years old. I have never been trying to conceive until recently after I got married. I had no idea at all until I start reading some posts on this site. Thank you all for sharing your experiences.

I too did a donor cycle & delivered a baby boy last April.  You don't need to abstain from going to the bathroom - believe me, the progesterone can possibly make you constipated so definitely don't abstain.

I see you already had your transfer.  I hope you get your BFP!!  What day did you do your transfer?  I had mine done on the 5th day.  Good luck! - jen

I hope your transfer went well. I also did a donor egg transfer but was negative. I am starting another donor cycle very soon but, I don't think you have to worry about not going to the bathroom. I am sure your nurse will give you instructions and the main instruction is 24 hour bed rest. Good luck and I am sending you tons of sticky baby dust!!
