chelsea74- Congratulations, on your BFP. I am so excited for you...How many did you transfer? Well, relax and no worries enjoy the wedding/vacation. What do you do since there is no 2nd beta at your clinic? I am praying for you.
MEL4141- I am praying that everything will work out for you. Stay Positive and no worries until the beta test.
As for me:
Aug, 19th, 2010 at 7:30am, I had my transfer. First, I had my 30 mins massage, then 30 min acupuncture and my Transfer, then lastly my 30 min acupuncture. Well, the embryologist said; My 1 Embryo was really strong and had no fragments or anything. They was very pleases with it. So the transfer went well, I am on bed rest for 48hrs straight laying down flat, sitting up just to eat and bathroom. I am praying that everything goes well, since we didn’t have anything to freeze, but sperm. I really wanted twins, but I would take anything at this moment. Now I am in a 2ww, Sept 2nd is my Beta test. Please continue to pray for me as I pray for you all....Lots os Love and Sticky baby dust to ALL. Levi...

Congrats!!!!!!!! That is wonderful news. I am so happy for you. Perhaps you have twins in there?
As for the progesterone issue, I have been on progesterone in oil shots since the day after my egg retrieval. I am supposed to be on them through 8 weeks, 2 days. I was actually worried about that not being long enough. I have read on-line that most IVF clinics require that you be on progesterone in oil until 12 weeks. I am curious what the other ladies on here have to say about this. I was secretly going to continue until 12 weeeks for peace of mind. The shots don't bother me that much. I have been giving them to myself. I am kind of a control freak.
I have to do 1-2 shots of blood thinners throughout my pregnancy, and I find those to be more painful, so what's a few more weeks of one more shot?
Congrats again! That's amazing news.
Karen
Oops my paragraphs got a bit messed up as I was trying to blurt all of this out - sorry!! mhv, you ended up somewhere in the middle there and a few other mix-ups. I hope you can make sense of my ramblings!!!

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back here, things have been really hectic!! I am trying to finish everything off at work before we fly off for a wedding.
And amidst all of this, I went for my BT on Wednesday and found out that afternoon that it's a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am still in total shock. I don't think I really expected it and always thought the vacation/wedding was perfectly timed with IVF to make the let down a little easier to recover from. I feel so amazingly blessed! Having said that, it is still very early and two losses has taught me there are no guarantees. My beta was 523, which I was told was very good. mhv, wonderful news to hear that you are on your way now!
There's is no second beta at my clinic though, you are pretty much on your own after that and I spent yesterday begging/demanding my RE allow me to continue with progesterone - which is not his usual protocol, so that has been a bit stressful. What have others experienced with regard to this? Is it usual to continue progesterone following BFP?
Also, I will still be out of town when it's time for my first US. My RE said not to worry and that we can do it when I get back, but waiting the extra week is going to be a challenge. My job now though (once I get everything done at work today) is to relax and enjoy my wonderful blessings!!
I hope everyone is doing well and karone32 you are especially in my thoughts and praying all goes well for you and bub and MEL this is the longest two weeks in history but praying it ends for you with a BFP!! Levi - I have never done Prog in oil shots but have heard they challenge the toughest among us, so you are doing great to tackle them!
