laporoscopy

I have been ttc for about 2 years now, with no luck.  I have longer cycles (anywhere from 28-36 days) and have been on Clomid and also getting the hcg shot.  My doctor advised that I should have a laporoscopy done to see if there is any scar tissue that is preventing the egg from being picked up by the tube.  Has anybody had this procedure?  What can I expect?  Thanks!

After 2 years of ttc with some infertility treatments I had a lap done.  The lap revealed that in fact I did have lots of scar tissue that was making all my infertility treatments useless.  It was a fairly simple surgery, took me 3-4 days to recover.  And I finally found out what was wrong.  That was the most important thing to me.
I hope the lap works for you as well.

I had one on July 11. Same as nevaeh, not painful at all.  I didn't need meds either.  The only thing was is that my belly was soo super swollen.  It really is no big deal and you'll do well! I'm happy I did it and I hope to get pg soon!

It was pretty painless for me actually. They gave me some vicodin after but I didn't really need it. In my case, I had two incisions, one in my belly button and the other on my pubic line about a couple cms. I was sore the first day or two but after that I was fine. I even walked in my college graduation three days after surgery so it wasn't that bad. Good luck! Hopefully they find something as to why you aren't getting pg.

I just had a laproscopic myomectomy done 5 weeks ago. I was out to sleep for the surgery. I ended up having to stay over night because I had some complications during recovery. Most people go home the same day if your just having a laproscopic. I was in pain for a good 2 weeks, but I'm fully recovered. Now, when I look back it wasn't that bad. It gives your DR a chance to see what your insides look like and it's a good thing. Good luck to you :)
