CLOMID AND LATE PERIOD

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME POSTING SO PLEASE BARE WITH ME.
THIS IS MY FIRST CYCLE ON CLOMID. I HAD CLOMID 100MG DAY 3-7. MY MENSTRUAL CYCLE IS USUALLY ABOUT 24-25 DAYS LONG.  ACCORDING TO THE OPKS I OVULATED BUT I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT CLOMID CAN GIVE FALSE READING ON OPKS.  I AM ON THE 29TH DAY AND STILL NO PERIOD.  I HAVE TAKEN 4 HPT (DOLLAR TREE & ANSWER) ALL NEGATIVE.  DOES ANYONE KNOW IF CLOMID MAKES YOUR PERIOD LATE AND/OR IT IS POSSIBLE NOT TO OVULATE AT ALL WHILE TAKING CLOMID. ANY RESPONSE WITH BE HELPFUL.

You're not alone in ds o. Someone should pls help us with an answer.
I've been 18months TTC, I was diagnosed of follicular cyst and was told it'll clear off on its own but it didn't. I was placed on clomid 50g last month because I don't ovulate most months. I ovulated on day 14 but had a very strong pain plus sore nipples between days 21 & 23. I thought it was implantation symptom but to my surprise, menstrual flow came on day 28 which is my normal cycle length. I took clomid 50g again ds month but didn't ovulate. worst still, I had lower back pains plus general weakness btw day 14 & 16. D pain was unbearable, I could hardly do anything. I expected my menstrual flow on 26th of ds month but today is 29th and there's no sign of it. I've tested prego negative and pimples had been on my face since d mid cycle. I'm a little confused, someone should pls help.

This is also my first cycle with Clomid 50 mg.  I was not doing any charting or doing any OPKs.  I started to do so on CD 10, but I stopped after I consumed the first box because I did not want to get pressured.  But anyway, just last Monday, I just found out through the ultrasound that I just ovulated...and that was CD 28 for me.  Right now, I am CD 31 already, and I was told by my doctor's office to test two weeks from now.  Yes, Clomid does delay your period.  I did not expect to ovulate this month either...but my husband and I did not stop doing the bd and hopefully, my hubby's little guys met my egg last Sunday morning.  hehe! :-)  Don't panic...I almost paniced myself when I was not feeling any symptoms of ovulation...until Sunday night when my breasts started to be tender, and the ultrasound the following day confirmed that I did ovulate.  The secret is to RELAX although I know that it is the hardest thing to do when you are trying to conceive.  :-)  Good luck!

My periods weren't regular before, but always between 28 and 30 days, now with Clomid they are 33 days...but I also know of posters who have had their cycles shortened, so as with all of this...everyone is different ;)

You can call your dr. and they will give you something to start AF if they think that it's time!

Hope this helps!

For many women, not all, clomid makes you ovulate later than you did without clomid. So if you ovulated later than normal than you period would also be later because your period arrives about 2 weeks after you ovulate. If you do not take your temp, you may find it helpful to start doing so, that way you can pinpoint when you ovulate and know when to expect your period.

I wasn't regular before clomid, but both of my cycles have been 33 days.  Hope this helps!
