Negative HPT

Hi everyone. Im glad I found this site. Im going NUTS! This is my second IVF, first one in April 09 and then now. I have my blood test tomorrow but I did an HPT this morning at 2am (CRAZY) and it was negative. have anyone had the same experience to later found out they were pregnant?

I've taken a $ store test...but never a time I was pregnant. I used the cheap wal-mart brand that gave me the BFP both pregnancies before.

Also... with my first pregnancy, I had a blood test that showed up negative. I asked if they were absolutely sure I wasn't and they said yes they were sure I was not pregnant, but I still didn't feel that was right. Couldn't explain it...I just knew somehow. I was about to get back on bc pills and was waiting for af to start so I could start taking my pills. They told me I could go ahead and start my pills. WELL...my gut feeling told me not to start them yet. This was after 2 urine and 1 blood test. Finally, after excruciating breast pain for several weeks, I came home from work one night and passes out so fast I left my scrubs AND shoes on. Woke up at 3 am to my ex husband with an HPT and took it. Sure enough it was a BFP.

So, in the future, just know that a blood test can even be wrong, and if u ever have a gut feeling telling u different...LISTEN TO IT!! Had I have started my pills when I left that doc office, he might not be sitting here right now playing xbox with his little 4 yr old attitude. LOL. Its amazing how our gut feelings can be so true. Hey!  I used $Tree's HPT's and when I wasn't pregnant they were all PFN's and then this month it was a BFP.  So, being the woman I am I went and bought a brand name HPT also and it too was a BFP.  SO, instead of buying those expensive ones (like I did at first), just get the cheapies and they work the same!  :)  Good luck to all and lots of sticky baby dust!!!!

I am not pregnant:( I had my blood work this morning but I woke up with a discustin debri-looking period, so that was it!!! :(   I will try again in September. I need the summer sort of "off". This was my second IVF in four months. Please keep me in your prayers.

Ive used $ tree twice now and both times gotten negatives. However my friend used one and it was positive and now her little boy is almost 6 mths old. lol

Im due for a visit from AF on the 8th. Hopefully she stays away. However I gave in and tested with Clear Blue Easy Digital this morning and got a BFN. So who knows.. :(

Lol, I was born on 11/11 at 11:11am. It's been lucky for me all my life.

Sue, they vary batch to batch. Some as low as 10 (or so claims have been made) and some as high as 80. They aren't really consistent. But, what do you expect for a $, hee hee. They are handy to have for sure :)

I hope you are my lucky charm. My favorite number is 11 and you have it all over:)
The day started with the negative HPT then my basement floated because of the A/C pipes and then the car radiator crack open so I had to rush to Toyota. Anyway. Now Im home. the plumber fixed my A/C and my car should be ready in an hour and just reading your reply made me feel better.

A blood test is far more sensitive/accurate than an otc hpt. Most brands won't show bfp unless hcg is over 50. First Response Early Result will usually register b4 any other brand. Good luck tomorrow!
