I heard Clomid helps- also- just read this... intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
ICSI can help men with extremely low or even zero sperm count to become fathers. In this technique, doctors retrieve a single sperm from testicular or epididymal tissue and then microsurgically inject it into the egg in an IVF procedure.
In vitro maturation (IVM) of immature eggs
My husband also suffered from low volume and low motility. My RE put him on a prescription vitamin (Vicon Forte?) He has been taking it since May 06 and is within the "normal range".
I would also agree with elevation with a pillow - fold it in half for a good angle.
And Most Importantly - Good Luck & Baby Dust!!
Do an IUI. They concentrate the sperm and put them all up there in your tubes. You don't have to worry about a lot of them dying on the way up there. I hear this is helpful for men with low sperm counts.
Also there's a procedure call ISCI (more expensive, but if you lucky enough to be living in state that has mandates for infertility coverage, it could be option.)
In that procedure they take a sperm (a great one!) and they inject it into the egg. Sperm doesn't have to do a thing.
You can put a pillow under your bottom so the sperm runs toward the cervix. Stay in that position for at least 20 minutes unless you're prone to UTIs, in which case you should urinate after sex.
I think there are a lot of different things a guy can do to boost the sperm count (though, not sure how many are gimmicks). Fertility Blend for Men is on option. Another is taking a daily dose of iron and zinc. Smoking and caffeine will decrease the sperm count.
