Looking for other women in a similar situation.

Hi ladies,

I am new to this site and actually it is the first site I have been on.  I have been reading through the forum and it is a little comforting to know that other women are going through the same things.  I have a 13 year old daughter that i had when i was young. I waited to meet the man of my dreams and get married and add to our family. I thought it would be easy since I had been pregnant before but boy was I wrong! Right after getting married we tried to conceive and to our surprise within a couple of months of being of the pill I was pregnant. Our joy quickly turned into disbeleif and sadness when we were told that I had a partial molar pregnancy.  The  details are heartbreaking and to much to go into unless someone has questions. ( i will talk about it if it will help someone else.)  We had a D&C and then was told that for a year we could not get pregnant and that I would have to go weekly for blood draws and then back off as the hcg levels dropped.  A couple of months after the first D&C I had major bleeding and ended up being taken to the ER by ambulance. To our dismay and the Dr's I was pregnant again.  My levels had never gone up but only steadily decreased and I was on the pill again.  He could not explain any of it.  We were told it would be life threatening to continue with the pregnancy so an emergency D&C was performed.  By now I was even more crushed, angry and hurt.  My periods had always been regualr and even through all the trama they were.  After the last D&C they went in and removed tissue that had been left and from that point on for 9 months I didn't have menstrual cycle.  We waited 1 1/2 yrs. to try again only to run into trouble again.  I wasn't getting pregnant :(.  Did one round of clomid with esraidol and nothing happened. My OB said he had to send me to an infertility Dr.  I have know been told I have PCOS and do not ovulate.  I started metfomin and became very allergic and to stop. I am now on my second day of clomid and will be doing an IUI next week.  I will have to have  a shot and do a few other things.  My fingers are crossed!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I too have a daughter 2 1/2 and have been trying to get pregnant again for 18 months now (and 12 months with first clomid and now femara).  Have done 6 IUI's.  In that time we got pregnant 2 times, with 1 early loss, 1 D&C when the baby stopped growing and I didn't miscarry after 6 weeks, and one natural pregnancy with heartbeat and then no heartbeat and used misoprostol to encourage the miscarriage.

I am now 8 days post IUI and am hoping that this time it will work.  I am 40 now and have hypothyroid and diabetes (on insulin) but both are well managed and my doctors think they are not the cause of the problem.  All other tests have come back totally normal.

you've been through quite a journey! i am on my first round of clomid and i too have PCOS. i take mine at night and do not experience any symptoms. i am trying to get pregnant with my first baby. good luck to you i have 2 more pills after tonight and i am getting anxious already! we knew i had pcos and just have unprotected sex (my husband and i) and before our wedding in may, i miscarried. we were devastated that we didn't even know i was pregnant and its still hard to deal with. i never have seen that BFP yet, but baby dust to both of us!
