Yes, if you O'd later than usually, it will delay your period. Your luteal phase (the time in between O and period) should always be pretty consistent from cycle to cycle. Like sarge said, average is 14 days, but it can range anywhere from 10 to 16 days depending on the person. If you know how long your luteal phase usually is, just count that many days from when you O'd and that should tell you when to expect your period. If you're not sure, the rule of thumb is that if you haven't gotten your period by 18 days after O, then you should definitely test. Good luck to you!
you should get your period 14 days after you ovulate. so yes, late ovulation will push off your period. That's my understanding, anyway. Good luck
I am not sure if you will have a late period but wait until after 1-2 days after your period date to test. I have read on various forums here that it might take up to a week after your period date for the test to turn positive.
