I thought it was just a matter of avoiding flying for the first couple of weeks. Apparently not. Are there any facts or rules of thumb for just how early is okay? I mean, is it a matter of not flying for 6 weeks or is it longer or shorter.
I'm asking because we're planning our second attempt and I'm supposed to go to a conference in early march. If our next attempt is successful, I would be JUST 4 weeks when it's time to go to the conference. Don't know if it makes any difference but it's a 3 hour flight followed by an overnight stop and another 1.5 hour flight.
Would it be safe?
Does it depend on the baby's hb??
Thanks so much... just need to know whether to break the news to my boss that I won't be able to go as it was really quite important to him for me to go to this thing but then we all have our priorities!!!
Many thanks, sounds promising then - I have lost 3 in the last 5 years, all at this stage, so I am praying like mad to save this one. Really pleased for you that have reached 8 and 14 weeks, congratulations.
Will look forward to my trip with a little less fear now :)
Hi, My baby's hb was 89 and I was told I had a 50/50 chance. One week later the babies hb went up to 125 and I am now 14 weeks pregnant. My husband is a commercial pilot and he says it's safe to fly. Although I have heard conflicting stories about flying (my friend had an early m/c after a flight) they say there is no proof. I wish you the best and please update us!!
Ooh ooh, send a message to KellyM - she was in a similar boat with a low baby hb, and is now 13 weeks :o)
I am an airline pilot and currently 8 weeks it is safe to fly.
