ultra sound question

Hi,
Does anyone when when you typicaly get ultrasounds?  I had one at 7 weeks and saw a heartbeat.(early caus I had a m/c before)  I thought I was going for one at 10 weeks, but they just told me they would just  a heartbeat check, exam, and genetic screening of my blood no u/s.....then I get the U/S at 12 weeks.  Is this normal to wait from 7 weeks until 12 for a u/s.  Just curious cause I am nervous.

yes it's very normal.   You're lucky if you get one at 7 weeks.   That's not routine.  In fact ultrasounds aren't routine.   You're insurance might just approve 1 as being medically necessary or high risk.


You should be in good shape as they say HB and confirmed intrauterine pregnancy.   5% chance of miscarriage at this stage.

yes, I think that is very normal if all looked well at 7 weeks.  

I had 3 m/c last year.  I had an u/s done at 5.5 weeks and then another at 10 weeks then another at 20 weeks and that should be it.
