unexpected miscarriage

Hey everybody.  I was 2months and 1 day pregnant and the unexpected happened.  I was so hurt, words can't express my feeling.  I felt so alone and asking myself why and how.  Just to give a little insight, I finally got pregnant on my 5th IVF procedure and I was pregnant with one embryo.  Upon my second ultrasound the doc notice a blood clot near the baby in the uterus by this time I was 6 weeks pregnant.  I did have stomach pains during the whole pregnancy, but the doctors couldn't pinpoint the severe stomach pains other than uterus may be strechting because of the baby. Anybody else been through a miscarriage and would like to share their story and if anyone became pregnant soon after the first miscarriage.  Is there anything different in protocol to prevent future miscarriages.  Thanks Girls, God Bless you all

i am so sorry.  the pain that you are going through is the most difficult pain ever.

I myself had 2 MC's within  a 5 month span.  One in Oct 2007 when i was 11 weeks along.  No reason for it, needed a d and c.  Got pregnant again right after and had another NC in Feb 2008.  Then went to see a specialist.  ran all kinds of tests, nothing was found.  Got pregnant again in May 2008 and now my son is 9 months old.

My specialist had me take baby aspirin from the time i started trying again and progesterone until i was 13 weeks along.

Dont give up.  keep trying.  If you need to talk, feel free to private message me.

hi,
I am so sorry for your loss. I had miscarriage 2 months ago ( I was 8 weeks pregnant through inv - it was my first pregnancy). We were not expecting it at all - it was our 8th week ultrasound - we went together with my husband, just like it was routine check up, week earlier dr told us that he sees strong heartbeat and chances of miscarriage are less that 1% - we were sitting in waiting room, happy, joking, when the nurse did ultrasound and said she saw empty sac - I did not know what she was talking about. It was terrible shock - I did not have any bleeding, I felt great, my breasts got smaller, but I never noticed it before that day. It was terrible week for both of us, I could not understand what happened, during my previous ultrasound dr recommended to get flu shot, I had some slight fever after that, but he said it is safe to take the shot. All the time after I regretted I did that. I have heard of people having miscarriage, even my close friends, but I never thought that loosing pregnancy can be that painful. I thought that part of the pain was because it was through in vitro - getting ready, going through all the shots, dr visits, cost etc - but I am not sure, Although when I was 8 weeks pregnant it felt like I was already 4-5 months with all the preparations.
I know how painful it is, but hang in there, it gets better. I know it is easier said than done, but I hope the next pregnancy will be better. Currently I am waiting for my period to start second inv procedure and I hope this time will be different for us as well. Let me know how it goes. Good luck I hope this helps.

Thanks for your comment.  How long did it take you to get pregnant after your first miscarriage.  Did you do this natural or ivf?
