Anyone else?

My PCP just told me that my latest bloodwork indicates thyroiditis. Apparently, my immune system is attacking my thyroid gland, causing it to read slightly low. she called in an Rx for synthroid, and then I'm to go back for labs in six weeks. What next?

P.S. ~ Since you brought up thyroid issues... I thought this would be the perfect place to post this recent research study about thyroid maliganancies in CFS patents:

Thyroid malignancy in ME/CFS patients greatly exceeds the normal incidence
of thyroid malignancy in any known subgroup. The thyroid malignancy
incidence in the ME/CFS group may exceed 6,000 / 100,000. As part of their
investigation, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS)
patients should be examined by thyroid ultrasound for evidence of thyroid
pathology and malignancy.

Hi droopy,

Sorry to hear about your thyroid problems. If I remember right... you have CFS, correct ? Do you know if you have had an ANA titer to check for autoimmune problems ?

The only suggestion I would have for you is to check out possible cures for CFS... there are some out there. The protocol that I've been on addresses CFS and autoimmune diseases. I can only tell you that I've made significant progress.
