Can Fibro Cause Childloss??

I lost my last child a way into pregnancy and the doctor thought it was because of the toll that fibro takes on a woman's body at times.  I had abnormal physical reactions to the childloss (such as expressing milk for over a year when none should have come at all and abnormal bleeding and other things) and my fibro pain and fatigue got to suicide point not long before I lost the baby.  For some time just before the loss and for quite a while after my fibro pain was excrutiating.  I really did want to die the pain was so bad.  The doctors ignored me as they always do.
Just after it happened my parents came and collected me from where I live and took me to their home country where I was looked after in hospital for a short while otherwise I very likely would have died (due to complications).

Does anyone know if fibro could have been the cause of this?  I've had a few miscarriages but, apart from that one, they've all been pretty early on.

I want a child with my partner sooooo much AND to be able to look after him or her when he/she's born.

If anyone has any information or experience that could shed some light on this I would really appreciate it.  I'm moving back to my parents home country with a hope that I'll get better medical treatment there so that maybe I can have a family.

I know this is a very painful subject for anyone who's lost a baby but it's the one area of fibro that I've never heard discussed and it's a very important one.  Even if I do find a doctor who cares that doctor is going to be unlikely to know if fibro causes complications.  Any and all information would help.

Thank you so much for listening.  x

I would also agree that you need to have Lupus ruled out.  Good luck to you and so sorry for your losses.

Thanks for adding that point about Lupus. That makes a lot of sense. I guess it's not fair for me to assume that every doctor who diagnoses Fibromyalgia actually uses the correct diagnostic measures. But they must if they would blame miscarriages on Fibro- that doesn't make sense to me???

PinkBinks-
If you can have a full Rheumatological work up done by your doctor that would be very beneficial. I know you mentioned in one of your posts that you don't have access to many doctors. Could you ask your primary care physician to run some of these tests? I would ask for your RA factor, ANA Screen, SED rate C- Reactive protein, Cyclic Citrulliated Antibody to start with. See what he/she says. Also the Thyroid tests as mentioned before- make sure they do the antibody tests as well.

I have lost 3 babies all in the last trimester. 7 1/2 months along. Boys. The doctors finally figured it was not from my Fibro but that I had Lupus (SLE) And that the Lupus attacked the fetus's.  Anything foriegn in your body can be attacked by the Lupus. Even major organs. After the 3rd misscarriage with all the stress I was having they confirmed I had Lupus. Don't know why they didn't figure that out earlier.  It caused major problems with my body.
Please go get checked out for Lupus. Have the full testing done. Some of the symptoms you stated also go with Lupus.
Good luck.

Hello,
First of all, you may want to update your profile because it says you are a male. :) Although miscarriages can happen to healthy people, serial miscarriages are not normal and I do not believe that Fibromyalgia can cause them by itself either. I would go to a doctor, and have them check you for Endometriosis, uterine structure issues, thyroid disease, or hormonal imbalances. You should see a good OBGYN or a holistic doctor who will be willing to work with bio-dentical hormone replacements. The availability of that may depend on where you live though. So, where do you live?
