I know that I also had fibroids , but inside my uterus. I also had very heavy bleeding and was becoming so anemic and I was getting irregular heartbeat.
I finally saw a demonstration (i work in the health field) on a new procedure called NOVASURE.
I had it done 2 yr's ago and it GAVE ME MY LIFE BACK. In a few hr's the nightmare ended and my fibroid shrunk. Never had a period since! You may want to check it out at novasure.com
Hope the info helps!

I was told to have an embolization, but decided that it wasn't for me. I ended up having a hysterectomy as an outpatient. It was an LAVH. Perhaps something like that would be a help.

Do the say the fibroids are causing the pain? If so, then you should get them removed. And why are you angry with yourself? You didn't cause yourself to be ill! Love yourself first. And take care of yourself. Maybe see another doctor if you questin the diagnosis or recommendations. Let us know what you decide.
Sorry about all the typos, my fingers don't want to work right tonight! LOL
Precautions: note many doctors give Levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol in order to reduce menstrual bleeding and is not conducive in reducing fibroids.
Evening primrose oil tablets; is a simple safe way to regulate and reduce estradiol, progesterone and rogue testosterone, thus reducing size of fibroids,
Chemically Levonorgestrel is a synthetic progesterone hormonally active levorotatory enantiomer of the racemic mixture norgestrel. It is a gonane progestin derived from 19-nortestosterone. Note; 19-norandrostenediol Converts to: 19 nortestosterone and is known aggravating factor in fibroids; ie increases their size;
endometriosis’ is caused by corrupt testosterone and therefore lowering testosterone levels by lowering oestrogen, which however conveniently also lowers progesterone and estradiol, note; the pill usually keeps progesterone and estradiol at high levels however there are certain contraceptive pills that work by elevating progesterone alone it is this type contraceptive pill doctors sometimes prescribe in order to help calm the effects of endometriosis; it does help considerably in most cases; the future answer is; a vaccine that acts against corrupt testosterone; Note corrupt testosterone alters cell transcription in various ways in this case the mis-transcription that has occurred has caused normal uterine cells to morph into irritated uterus lining placenta cells and established themselves in the wrongful area outside the womb causing this disease known as endometriosis; correct statement;
